The GNU Toolchain for ADI's Blackfin and future processors
You have found the home page of the GNU toolchain project for ADI's Blackfin an future processors. This is the central site for all toolchain components whether you are targetting to run Linux or bare metal on the Blackfin and future processors, running on Linux or Windows hosts. These components consist of GNU Binutils, GNU Compiler Collection (gcc), GNU Debugger (gdb), elf2flt utility, LDR utility, Libraries (libdsp, newlib, libgloss and uClibc), JTAG tools: (both urjtag and gdbproxy), etc. The source for all of these tools is available from our git repository, and any of these tools should build on almost any host system, including all Linux and Unix based OSes, and run on Windows. Buildroot Linux distribution for ADI Blackfin and future processors.
Buildroot is a set of Makefiles and patches that makes it easy to generate a complete embedded Linux system. Buildroot can generate a kernel image, various libraries and applications in a root filesystem. Buildroot is useful mainly for people working with small or embedded systems, using various CPU architectures (x86, ARM, Blackfin, MIPS, PowerPC, etc.). It automates the building process of your embedded system and eases the cross-compilation process. If you're new to buildroot Linux, the first thing to do is check out the [documentation](http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/). This should help you get your development host PC set up, and get you compling your first Linux distribution from source.
A compiler and cross-compiler for (Currently) Cobol (with Fortran being added later). It is intended to be the first self-hosted open-source Cobol Compiler, e.g. the compiler itself will be written using Cobol.
