Routines for wavefront propagation in IDL, Matlab, and Python
PROPER is a library of routines for the propagation of wavefronts through an optical system using Fourier-based methods. It was developed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for modeling stellar coronagraphs, but it can be applied to other optical systems were diffraction propagation is of concern. It is currently available for IDL (Interactive Data Language), Matlab and Python (2.7 & 3.x). It includes routines for generating complex apertures and obscurations and aberrations (Zernike & PSD-defined). It includes a model of a deformable mirror for wavefront control. The routines perform near and far field propagation with automatic selection of propagators. The latest version for IDL and Python is v3.0 released on 7 Aug 2017. For Matlab it is v3.0.1 released on 22 Aug 2017 (bug fix in prop_readmap).

i-Map is a Photo metadata forensic tool for Geo-location analysis of images that are clicked from GPS enabled devices. In this tool, you can load 100s of images from a suspect's device and analyze them to know various locations where photos were clicked on mobile phone/tablet. After loading images, with a single click, iMap plots all the images on World Map to visually check where they have been captured, generate timeline and activity of suspect and match them with CDR (Call Detail Record) Details. To generate a report, you can export this data into PDF or Excel file according to your requirements.

A Library for Interactive Modelling and Visualisation
The OpenCMISS-Zinc Library (opencmiss.org/zinc), or Zinc, is a software library for building interactive graphical modelling and visualisation applications. Models are represented in Zinc as mathematical fields defined over domains, including finite elements with support for high-order basis functions, complex parameter mappings and time variation, and image-based fields. Further fields can be defined by mathematical expressions and algorithms on existing fields, including image processing filters. Zinc model data structures are dynamic, supporting interactive applications which programmatically create, destroy and modify parts of models.

Software Unit Tests (Language Independent Approach)
Automation of Unit and System Tests. Tests can be implemented in any language and on many platforms. The flexible approach enables the inclusion of many types of tests, such as memory leak checks (using valgrind), coding rule checks, complexity checks, etc. Tests are run by a simple call to hwut in a base directory of a project. In particular for C, HWUT supports make file generation using 'sos' and 'sols' modes. Remote control-able function stubs may be generated using the 'stub' mode. Test cases can be generated using the 'gen' mode, and state machine walkers by the 'sm_walker' mode. Over the last decade HWUT has matured towards a full fledged unit test tool for a wide variety of applications.

EMTG is NASA Goddard's autonomous space mission design tool.
EMTG is NASA Goddard's fully automated tool for the design of interplanetary missions using either high-thrust chemical or low-thrust electric propulsion as well as planetary flyby maneuvers. EMTG is capable of determining both the optimal flyby sequence (using an integer genetic algorithm) and also the optimal trajectory (using a nonlinear programming solver and monotonic basin hopping). The outputs of EMTG are medium fidelity - suitable for trade studies and proposals but not for operations. EMTG is composed of two components. The core EMTG program is written in C++ and is driven by a text script interface. The second component is a graphical user interface (GUI) written in Python which is used to process EMTG input and output scripts. The two programs are independent but complimentary. EMTG was used to design Lucy, NASA's next Discovery class mission to the Jupiter Trojans!

The Simple Medical Imaging Library Interface (SMILI), pronounced 'smilie', is an open-source, light-weight and easy-to-use medical imaging viewer and library for all major operating systems. The main sMILX application features for viewing n-D images, vector images, DICOMs, anonymizing, shape analysis and models/surfaces with easy drag and drop functions. It also features a number of standard processing algorithms for smoothing, thresholding, masking etc. images and models, both with graphical user interfaces and/or via the command-line. googler is a power tool to Google (Web & News) and Google Site Search from the command-line. It shows the title, URL and abstract for each result, which can be directly opened in a browser from the terminal. Results are fetched in pages (with page navigation). Supports sequential searches in a single googler instance. googler was initially written to cater to headless servers without X. You can integrate it with a text-based browser. However, it has grown into a very handy and flexible utility that delivers much more. For example, fetch any number of results or start anywhere, limit search by any duration, define aliases to google search any number of websites, switch domains easily... all of this in a very clean interface without ads or stray URLs. It can read experimental data from several data formats (spec, edf, xrdml, ...); convert them to reciprocal space for arbitrary goniometer geometries and different detector systems (point, linear as well as area detectors); for further processing the data can be gridded (transformed to a regular grid).
