Character animation system for games and simulations.
SmartBody is available for download for Windows, Linux and OSX users. SmartBody can also be used on Android and iOS platforms. SmartBody is a character animation platform that provides the following capabilities in real time: * Locomotion (walk, jog, run, turn, strafe, jump, etc.) * Steering - avoiding obstacles and moving objects * Object manipulation - reach, grasp, touch , pick up objects * Lip Syncing - characters can speak with simultaneous lip-sync using text-to-speech or prerecorded audio * Gazing - robust gazing behavior that incorporates various parts of the body * Nonverbal behavior - gesturing, head nodding and shaking, eye saccades - Online and offline retargeting of motion - Automatic skinning and rigging SmartBody is written in C++ and can be incorporated into most game engines. SmartBody is developed at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies from the Character Animation and Simulation group: http://cas.ict.usc.edu
Volocian believes first and foremost that financial status shouldn’t be a barrier to entry in multimedia content creation. Whether you want to design a product or website, record a band, remix a song, or produce a feature length movie with professional post production graphics and effects, Volocian™ wants to help, even if you’re using borrowed hardware with no previous experience. We provide affordable products and services for any budget, including cost-free solutions for education and demo purposes, while everything we do is designed with ease of use and flexibility in mind, to suit everyone from novice hobbyists to expert professionals. Wherever possible, Volocian™ relies on free, open source, and cross-platform software to prevent vendor lock-in, planned obsolescence, and software as a service licensing. Touch Pad Switch linux
This is a simple Python script to automatic or manually start/stop your Touchpad of laptops on linux. easi to use: mswitch on/off/auto/calibrate you must be root to calibrate as a file is save in /etc/mswitch.conf. I put the file in /usr/bin. to calibrate you should remove any pointing device first (usb or PS/2 mouses) than run as root: #mswitch calibrate after you could run $mswitch auto if you want to manually switch mswitch ON/OFF. next version will have a GUI.
A FDTD solver for electromagnetic wave simulations on a GPU cluster
KEMP is a fast FDTD solver on a GPU-based cluster. The FDTD (Finite-Difference Time-Domain) method is a popular numerical method for electromagnetic field simulations. KEMP enables hardware accelerations suitable for multi-GPU, multi-core CPU and GPU cluster. KEMP also provide easy configuration by using Python scripting language.

A Win32 Specific Backup Program
AnyBackup is designed to keep two pools of volumes in sync with one another. The primary use case is backing up one large network array to several smaller volumes. These syncs are intended to be periodic and user initiated. Disclaimer: AnyBackup is not an enterprise solution and I make no guarantees and offer no warranties. I have been using it to keep up to date backups of ~11tb of data for the duration of the project and I've suffered no data loss as a result. This, however, does not mean that through bugs or user error data loss cannot occur.
Project for backing up network device configuration
Using this project you can make backup and track changes of configuration of network devices like switches, routers, etc.
