A Development Framework for Coldfire
Contains a framework for Coldfire MCUs like 52254. The framework supports a Command Line Interface (CLI) that may work from Serial port, USB or ENET. The framework uses Processor Expert and IDE requirement is MCU Eclipse 10.4 from Freescale. Includes the FunkOS Realtime Operating System by Funkenstein Software Consulting, available at http://funkos.sourceforge.net Mainly it is a support package for the development board Perseus, but I have ported also the RTOS to MCF52233DEMO board. Using RNA-seq, tens of thousands of novel transcripts and isoforms have been identified (Djebali, et al Nature, 2012 , Carbili et al, Gene & Development, 2011) The discovery of these hidden transcriptome rejuvenate the need of distinguishing coding and noncoding RNA. However, Most previous coding potential prediction methods heavily rely on alignment, either pairwise alignment to search for protein evidence or multiple alignments to calculate phylogenetic conservation score (such as CPC , PhyloCSF and RNACode ). This is because most previously identified transcripts including protein coding RNA and short, housekeeping/regulatory RNAs such as snRNAs, snoRNA and tRNA are highly conserved. While still very useful, these approaches have several limitations: Most lncRNAs are less conserved and tend to be lineage specific which greatly limit the discrimination power of alignment-based methods. For example, of 550 lncRNAs detected from zebrafish, only 29 of them had detectable sequence
Tools for processing solar cell characterization data (PL, ECV, Rsh)
CTOSC stands for 'Characterization Toolbox for Solar Cells' and contains a few functionalities to process solar cell data: sheet resistance mapping, making ECV data graphs and showing/averaging PL/EL images. For ECV/Rsh data the program currently supports output files from the Sunlab Sherescan four-point probe (.txt) and the WEP Wafer Profiler CVP21 (.csv).

This is a project I started to learn Python and Tkinter. It all started when I received a PI for Christmas in 2015. Over Christmas breaks I have time away from work to play on projects and I have taken an interest in programming. There are many fine ham radio programs out there. This is just a learning tool. The code was written in Python2.7 and bundled with Pyinstaller. This bundle works for Windows 7 and Windows 10. CWOnly has two screen. The main screen is for operation. There are six macro buttons on the screen that are configured in the setup screen. There are three entry fields for sending other text messages. The abort button stops sending code, The scroll bars set send speed and Farnsworth spacing. The setup button opens the configuration screen. The setup screen is used to configure the 12 buttons. The lower three buttons are for the user name, QRZ password, and to set the serial port. Press the save edit button to save changes. 73, Todd

Converts simple lists of lots and sales into a TXF file
US Tax Forms (1040 Schedule D and 8949 supplemental forms) require that every capital gains sale is listed by line, even if no cost basis or even a 1099-B has been provided to the IRS. Entering this data into tax software like TurboTax is tedious and error prone. Some institutions provide limited export capabilities such as CSV or excel export but this is not easy to translate into tax preparation software. These python scripts convert two simple to generate input files BuyLots.csv and Sales.csv into a .TXF file that can be imported into tax prep software and a second RemainingLots.csv that can be used for next year. Sight Reduction for Air Navigation with Python
This Python TK application calculates a good set of stars for a 3 star fix, makes all calculations similar to the FAAs Celestial Computation Sheet (see FAA doc FAA-H-8083-18). Also, you can create a PDF file that generates Pub 249 Vol 1 for any epoch you specify. The PUB249 as PDF for the next 2 years is found under "Files". I wrote this for my aircraft bubble octant :-) It is mainly useful for air navigation as it assumes a bubble sextant but may be used for normal sextants as well. Requires Ephem and ReportLab (optional for PDF output) Not to be used for real-world navigation!

System tray unread mail checker for Linux
CheckMails periodically looks for unread mails and displays the total number of unread mails in the system tray icon. Several mailboxes can be configured. The number of unread mails for each mailbox is detailed in a notification that appears when clicking on the icon and after a check. This application supports only IMAP protocol with SSL encryption. The connection information for each mailbox is stored in an encrypted file using a master password.
