SmartBody is a character animation platform that provides the following capabilities in real time: * Locomotion (walk, jog, run, turn, strafe, jump, etc.) * Steering - avoiding obstacles and moving objects * Object manipulation - reach, grasp, touch , pick up objects * Lip Syncing - characters can speak with simultaneous lip-sync using text-to-speech or prerecorded audio * Gazing - robust gazing behavior that incorporates various parts of the body * Nonverbal behavior - gesturing, head nodding and shaking, eye saccades - Online and offline retargeting of motion - Automatic skinning and rigging SmartBody is written in C++ and can be incorporated into most game engines. Extract contents of a Windows executable file created by pyinstaller
This is a python script to extract the contents of a PyInstaller generated Windows executable file. The contents of the pyz file (usually pyc files) present inside the executable are also extracted. The pyc files are made valid so that a python bytecode decompiler will recognise it. Script can run on both python 2.x and 3.x Pyinstaller versions 2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 are supported

Quality Assessment Tool for Genome Assemblies
QUAST performs fast and convenient quality evaluation and comparison of genome assemblies. QUAST computes a number of well-known metrics, including contig accuracy, number of genes discovered, N50, and others, as well as introducing new ones, like NA50 (see details in the paper and in the manual). A comprehensive analysis results in summary tables (in plain text, tab-separated and LaTeX formats) and colorful plots. The tool also produces web-based reports condensing all information in one easy to navigate file. QUAST has an intuitive command-line interface and a detailed manual to help users run it and understand its output. Furthermore, the Lab started a Beta version of web-QUAST at http://quast.bioinf.spbau.ru/ which makes quality evaluation even more simple. QUAST and MetaQUAST (extension for metagenomic assemblies) papers were published in Bioinformatics.

EasyABC is an open source ABC editor
EasyABC allows the user to create, edit, view, play, convert music written in the ABC music notation language. The program was written in Python 2.7 and WxPython by Nils Liberg and runs on Windows, OSX, and Linux. Nils Liberg is no longer supporting this open source package, however I have volunteered to continue its support and development.

It uses a broker-based, distributed, message-passing architecture, supports many languages including Java, C++, Perl & Python, and runs under Linux,OSX & Win32. It comes with a large number of modules, encompassing the whole modeling cycle: creating computational models, simulating and analyzing them, visualizing the information, in order to improve the models. Create installable packages for Debian based systems.
Debreate is a utility to aid in creating installable Debian packages (.deb). The goal behind the project is to make developing for Debian based Linux distributions more appealing, with an easy to use interface for packaging applications, artwork, media, themes, etc. Currently, it only supports "binary" packaging which allows packaging of anything that does not require being compiled from source, such as scripted applications or media. These packages can then be used for personal distribution. Plans for using backends such as dh_make & debuild for creating source packages are in the works. But source packaging can be quite different & is a must if you want to get your packages into a distribution's official repositories or a Launchpad Personal Package Archive (PPA).
