Tag images using various categories and modifiers
iTag has been designed for researchers that rely on photographic census techniques of animals that are hard to detect via image recognition algorithms and was originally developed for counting Grey Seals in the German wadden sea during March 2013. It has since then been further expanded and has now reached beta status. iTag allows Users to define up to 9 different categories and name them accordingly. In addition, 4 modifiers are available to further increase the options during a tagging session. Users are able to load a series of Images into a session and add tags on objects on these images within previously defined categories and modifiers. Upon ending the session, result files are produced including (if provided by the EXIF data) the gps information for each Picture, the number of objects in each category and a detailed result file that describes each individual object. In addition, all images that were tagged are saved.

Gene-Environment iNteraction Simulator 2 (GENS2) simulates interactions among two genetic and one environmental factor and also allows for epistatic interactions. GENS2 is based on data with realistic patterns of linkage disequilibrium, and imposes no limitations either on the number of individuals to be simulated or on number of non-predisposing genetic/environmental factors to be considered. The GENS2 tool is able to simulate gene-environment and gene-gene interactions. To make the Simulator more intuitive, the input parameters are expressed as standard epidemiological quantities. GENS2 is written in Python language and takes advantage of operators and modules provided by the simuPOP simulation environment. It can be used through a graphical or a command-line interface.

Python program for sending custom CW macros via serial port
This is a project I started to learn Python and Tkinter. It all started when I received a PI for Christmas in 2015. Over Christmas breaks I have time away from work to play on projects and I have taken an interest in programming. There are many fine ham radio programs out there. This is just a learning tool. The code was written in Python2.7 and bundled with Pyinstaller. This bundle works for Windows 7 and Windows 10. CWOnly has two screen. The main screen is for operation. There are six macro buttons on the screen that are configured in the setup screen. There are three entry fields for sending other text messages. The abort button stops sending code, The scroll bars set send speed and Farnsworth spacing. The setup button opens the configuration screen. The setup screen is used to configure the 12 buttons. The lower three buttons are for the user name, QRZ password, and to set the serial port. Press the save edit button to save changes. 73, Todd

Visual Cryptography and Bit-Plane Complexity Segmentation in Python
Hide secret messages in your pictures! Cyberbit lets you transmit a secret message to an intended person in a new manner. The secret message is an 1-bit deep black & white image. The message can contain written text, a drawing, a secret code etc. Using Visual Cryptography the application splits the secret message into two "shadow images" called <<shares>>. Any of the two shares will be embedded into a "normal" image file called by tradition <<vessel>>. You can use a method of hand to send the two vessels to your correspondent. For instance you can post one vessel image on facebook. The other vessel image can be sent as an attachment of an e-mail. The vessel images can be 8-bit gray-level images or 24-bit deep true-color images. Anyone who can correctly spot the two vessels and knows the dimensions of the image containing the secret message will be able to decrypt the secret message using the Cyberbit application.
