Object-oriented equation-based modelling and optimisation software
DAE Tools is a cross-platform equation-based object-oriented modelling, simulation and optimisation software. It is not a modelling language nor a collection of numerical libraries but rather a higher level structure – an architectural design of interdependent software components providing an API for: - Model development/specification - Activities on developed models, such as simulation, optimisation, sensitivity analysis and parameter estimation - Processing of the results, such as plotting and exporting to various file formats - Report generation - Code generation, co-simulation and model exchange The following class of problems can be solved by DAE Tools: - Initial value problems of implicit form - Index-1 DAE systems - With lumped or distributed parameters - Steady-state or dynamic - Continuous with some elements of event-driven systems

2D & 3D TeX-Aware Vector Graphics Language
Asymptote is a powerful descriptive vector graphics language for technical drawing, inspired by MetaPost but with an improved C++-like syntax. Asymptote provides for figures the same high-quality typesetting that LaTeX does for scientific text.
Stand-alone application and Python tools for interactive and/or batch processing analysis of X-Ray Fluorescence Spectra. Graphical user interface (GUI) and batch processing capabilities provided.
Stochastic simulator for signaling pathways occuring in biological cells. Handles reaction-diffusion processes in 3D tetrahedral meshes. Please check our new repository: https://github.com/CNS-OIST/STEPS
Project moved to https://github.com/owfs/owfs/
Please note that OWFS source code, and all Issue/Tickets/merge requests have now been moved to https://github.com/owfs/owfs/. Developer mailing lists will still be kept at Sourceforge. ---- OWFS -- 1-Wire file system. Use the Dallas 1-Wire and iButton chips with standard filesystem commands. Create temperature loggers. Monitor everything. OWHTTPD -- same system, only used as a light weight web server. OWFS is also ported to embedded routers, Mac OSX and Windows. Basically you can use these inexpensive little sensors and other chips with very simple wiring to sense and control the physical environment. The interface is very flexible -- everything from a web browser, to read and writing directly to the chip's "file" to integrating with your programs -- even over the internet. There is a growing number of 1-wire sensors: temperature, voltage, humidity, light, ultraviolet, pressure, thermisters, thermocouples, programmable microcontrollers, relays, lights, LCD panels, etc
Open Source Computer Vision Library
The Open Source Computer Vision Library has >2500 algorithms, extensive documentation and sample code for real-time computer vision. It works on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Android and iOS. Homepage: opencv.org Q&A forum: answers.opencv.org Documentation: docs.opencv.org Please pay special attention to our tutorials! http://docs.opencv.org/3.2.0/d9/df8/tutorial_root.html Books about the OpenCV are described here: http://opencv.org/books.html
The GetData library provides an API to interface with Dirfile databases. The Dirfile database format is designed to provide a fast, simple, scalable format for storing and reading binary, synchronously-sampled, time-ordered data.
Calculates and plots Colour Magnitude Diagrams from Astronomical data
CMD Plot Tool calculates and plots Colour Magnitude Diagrams (CMDs) from astronomical photometric data, e.g. of a star cluster observed in two filter bandpasses. It can handle multiple file formats (plain text, DAOPHOT .mag files, ACS Survey of Galactic Globular Clusters .zpt files) to generate professional and customised plots, without the usual steep learning curve. Development using Python, OOP and a formal software development lifecycle model (Agile) allowed for the creation of an application that can be deployed on multiple systems. It works “out of the box” and does not require any installation of development environments, additional libraries or resetting of system paths. The tool is available as a single application/executable file, with the source code, on Sourceforge. Sample data is also bundled, to demonstrate its complete functionality to users. Other functionality within this application is the ability to convert DAOPHOT magnitude files to CSV format.
Hermes -- a set of libraries and tools for the support of scientific simulation and data archival.

PySCeS is the Python Simulator of Cellular Systems
PySCeS is the Python Simulator of Cellular Systems. For a network of coupled reactions it does a stoichiometric matrix analysis, calculates the time course and steady state, and does a complete control analysis.
Hybrid Lineage Transcriptome Explorer
HyLiTE (Hybrid Lineage Transcriptome Explorer) analyzes high-throughput transcriptome data from allopolyploid species. Allopolyploidy describes the formation of a new hybrid organism from the union of two or more different parents. Allopolyploid species carry multiple copies of each gene (homeologs), which often exhibit unusual expression patterns. Homeolog expression levels can technically be determined from next generation sequencing data (RNA-seq), but in practice, assigning reads to one homeolog over another is extremely challenging, particularly on a whole-genome scale. HyLiTE automates this process, and allows gene expression patterns to be explored even in very complex allopolyploid species.

Collaborative Computing Project for NMR (CCPN)
The Collaborative Computational Project for NMR (CCPN) provides tools and knowledge to maximise the impact of the biological NMR studies. The CCPN software facilitates data analysis and software integration. The project actively promotes the exchange of knowledge and provides training and best practices for the NMR community. CCPN also has a leading role in the development of a NMR data-sharing standard and coordination of NMR instrumentation proposals for RCUK and BIS. The 28 partners of CCPN jointly cover all aspects of biomolecular NMR and together they promote excellence in science in their respective fields.
