mesoFON is an individual-based mangrove forest model. It is a Java implementation of the KiWi model done with RePast Simphony. It contains several new features: (1) You can add up to 10 species via the GUI. However, in principle, the number of species to be included programmatically is unlimited. (2) You can use a variety of growth functions via typing them in as a string on the GUI. (3) The model is transparent, sinc it comes with the Eclipse workbench of RePast.
Binner for assembled metagenomes
The Metawatt binner is a graphical binning tool that makes use of multivariate statistics of tetranucleotide frequencies and differential coverage based binning. It also performs taxonomic assessment of binning quality (via diamond BLASTx). Created bins can be edited and exported as fasta. The Metawatt is implemented in Java SWING and minimally depends on Diamond, HMMer3.1, BBMap, Prodigal and the Batik library for the export of SVG graphics. StereoWS developed by UCL-MSSL within the ProVisG project
Since December 2008, UCL-MSSL developed a platform independent stereo application in collaboration with JPL, NASA as a subtask of EU-FP7 PRoViSG. This work was originally proposed for two months of work, but it was rescheduled to run untill August 2011 after realising its synergetic relationship with other UCL tasks within the ProVisG project. Within this time period, UCL delivered consortium members a stereo application (called StereoWS ver. 1.0), which integrates various practical stereo tools into the JPL’s stereo rendering engine (called JADIS). In addition, a part of software (called StView ver.1.0) was ported to a web-based GIS system (e.g., ProGIS) and ProVIP as a solution for stereo visualisation. Apart from the stereo visualisation, some useful stereo tools (e.g., stereo matcher or stereo image processing tools) have been extracted from UCL’s previous development for HRSC data processing, and modified for close-range stereo imagery.

OWL reasoning method is ideally suitable for problems involved complex semantic associations because it is able to infer logical consequences based on a set of asserted rules or axioms. MapReduce framework isused to solve the problem of scalability. In our experiment, we focus on the discovery of associations between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine (WM).
Convert the format of speech label files
Research in speech processing requires labeling and segmentation of speech signals, i.e., label files. Two useful formats for label files are the CSLU format (.phn extension) and the HTK format (.lab extension). This program converts speech label files from any of these two formats to the other one. Do this: 1- Provide the source directory (directory where the original label files are). 2- Provide the destination directory (directory where the new label files will be placed). 3- Select the operation, either phn->lab or lab->phn. 4- Press the Process! button.
