The PDL module gives standard perl the ability to COMPACTLY store and SPEEDILY manipulate the large N-dimensional data sets that are the bread and butter of scientific computing.
Software for electromagnetic simulation
MaxFem is an open software package for electromagnetic simulation by using finite element methods. The package can solve problems in electrostatics, direct current, magnetostatics and eddy-currents. We have moved the installers to the MaxFEM website (see below). In order to improve MaxFEM, we will require you to fill out a simple form before downloading them.

The CFD General Notation System (CGNS) provides a standard for recording and recovering computer data associated with the numerical solution of fluid dynamics equations. We are in process of moving! Old stable releases can still be found here, but the new repository is at https://github.com/CGNS
The Open64 Compiler and Tools site is dedicated to the continued development of the former SGI Pro64(TM) compiler for the IA64, x86, CUDA and MIPS architecture.
The GNU Toolchain for ADI's Blackfin and future processors
You have found the home page of the GNU toolchain project for ADI's Blackfin an future processors. This is the central site for all toolchain components whether you are targetting to run Linux or bare metal on the Blackfin and future processors, running on Linux or Windows hosts. These components consist of GNU Binutils, GNU Compiler Collection (gcc), GNU Debugger (gdb), elf2flt utility, LDR utility, Libraries (libdsp, newlib, libgloss and uClibc), JTAG tools: (both urjtag and gdbproxy), etc. The source for all of these tools is available from our git repository, and any of these tools should build on almost any host system, including all Linux and Unix based OSes, and run on Windows. For the latest release of the toolchain, please see the README under "Files".
Eclim is a set of eclipse and vim plugins to integrate the two projects.
AUTO is a publicly available software for continuation and bifurcation problems in ordinary differential equations originally written in 1980 and widely used in the dynamical systems community.
Unit testing framework for Fortran with MPI extensions
pFUnit is a Fortran testing framework created by developers from NASA and NGC TASC. pFUnit offers a convenient, lightweight mechanism for Fortran developers to create and run software tests that specify the desired behavior for a given piece of code. See the website or wiki for more information.
Cantera is a suite of object-oriented software tools for problems involving chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and/or transport processes. It can be used from MATLAB, Python, C++, or Fortran.
ffnet is a fast and easy-to-use feed-forward neural network training solution for python. Many nice features are implemented: arbitrary network connectivity, automatic data normalization, very efficient training tools, network export to fortran code. Now ffnet has also a GUI called ffnetui.
VulaSHAKA (Simultaneous Neutronic, Fuel Performance, Heat And Kinetics Analysis)
This will be a place to release tools that have not yet been added to SciPy (or will not be added for whatever reason). Currently an interface to ImageMagick is here.
Free cross-platform viewer for seismic data in SEG-Y format (Revision 1 draft 6 and its modifications).
indent, beautify Fortran source
findent indents and beautifies Fortran source, fixed and free format, and converts Fortran fixed format to Fortran free format. Plugins for vim and gedit are included.
MRCWA - Multilayer Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis is a fast, flexible optical grating solver. It calculates an exact solution to the Maxwell equations for the diffraction of light from an optical grating with arbitrary profile and materials.
The Earth System Modeling Framework provides high-performance software infrastructure and superstructure for the construction and coupling of climate, weather, and data assimilation applications.
PySCeS is the Python Simulator of Cellular Systems
PySCeS is the Python Simulator of Cellular Systems. For a network of coupled reactions it does a stoichiometric matrix analysis, calculates the time course and steady state, and does a complete control analysis.
hydrological model for simulation of water and water quality over time
Please go to project home (http://hypecode.smhi.se) for more information. The hydrological model HYPE is developed at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). The model simulates water, nutrients and other substances in small and large river catchments. Included in the project is HYSS, which is needed to run the model. It handles input and output and the simuation over time.
