Manage and interpret IPMI systems with common a software tool
ipmiutil is an easy to use set of IPMI server management utilities. It can get/set sensor readings & thresholds, automate SEL management, do SOL console, etc. Supports Linux, Windows, BSD, Solaris, MacOSX. The only IPMI project tool that runs natively on Windows. See ipmiutil.sf.net for rpms, etc. (formerly called panicsel). It can run driverless in Linux for use on boot media or embedded environments.

C++ exception (and generic) stack trace library (now libinstrument)
Project is migrating to libinstrument (https://sourceforge.net/projects/libinstrument/) Libcsdbg is a C++ exception stack tracer, offers the tools to create and process exception traces, the path an exception has propagated up the call stack, unwinding it, up to the point where it was handled. The traces are detailed with demangled function signatures and addr2line info (source file and line of each function call). Libcsdbg will perform flawlessly with multi-threaded programs, with dynamically linked shared objects (DSO) and with any statically linked library. Libcsdbg helps the developer/tester also create stack traces of any thread, at any point during, as a snapshot of the runtime call graph. This is very useful in cases of fatal errors, reception of terminating signals or process abortion/termination (such as segmentation faults)
Encrypted UDP based FTP with multicast
UFTP is an encrypted multicast file transfer program, designed to securely, reliably, and efficiently transfer files to multiple receivers simultaneously. This is useful for distributing large files to a large number of receivers, and is especially useful for data distribution over a satellite link (with two way communication), where the inherent delay makes any TCP based communication highly inefficient. The multicast encryption scheme is based on TLS with extensions to allow multiple receivers to share a common key. UFTP also has the capability to communicate over disjoint networks separated by one or more firewalls (NAT traversal) and without full end-to-end multicast capability (multicast tunneling) through the use of a UFTP proxy server. These proxies also provide scalability by aggregating responses from a group of receivers.
AIDE - Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment
TORCS, The Open Racing Car Simulator is a highly portable multi platform car racing simulation. It is used as ordinary car racing game, as AI racing game and as research platform. It runs on Linux (x86, AMD64 and PPC), FreeBSD, OpenSolaris, MacOSX and Windows.
Recursively compute and match cryptographic hashes
Development of this project has been moved to https://github.com/jessek/hashdeep. This site has been left for historical purposes ONLY. Please visit the GitHub site for current development. Computes the MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, Tiger, or Whirlpool message digest for any number of files while optionally recursively digging through the directory structure. Can also match input files against lists of known hashes in a variety of formats.
simplified, portable interface to several low-level networking routines, including network address manipulation, kernel arp and route table manipulation, firewalling, interface configuration, IP tunnelling, and raw Ethernet and IP datagram transmission.
jpcap is a set of Java classes which provide an interface and system for network packet capture. A protocol library and tool for visualizing network traffic is included. jpcap utilizes libpcap, a widely deployed system library for packet capture.
Converts (packages) Python programs into stand-alone executables
PyInstaller is a program that converts (packages) Python programs into stand-alone executables, under Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, AIX and Solaris. Its main advantages over similar tools are that PyInstaller works with any version of Python since 2.3, it builds smaller executables thanks to transparent compression, it is fully multi-platform, and uses the OS support to load the dynamic libraries, thus ensuring full compatibility. The main goal of PyInstaller is to be compatible with 3rd-party packages out-of-the-box. This means that, with PyInstaller, all the required tricks to make external packages work are already integrated within PyInstaller itself so that there is no user intervention required. You'll never be required to look for tricks in wikis and apply custom modification to your files or your setup scripts. As an example, libraries like PyQt, Django or matplotlib are fully supported, without having to handle plugins or external data files manually.
The Sleuth Kit is a C++ library and collection of open source file system forensics tools that allow you to, among other things, view allocated and deleted data from NTFS, FAT, FFS, EXT2, Ext3, HFS+, and ISO9660 images.
Siproxd is a proxy/masquerading daemon for the SIP protocol. It allows SIP clients (softphones & hardphones) to work behind an IP masquerading firewall or router.
Grip is a GTK-based CD-player and CD-ripper / MP3 encoder. It has the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia built in, but can also use external rippers (such as cdda2wav). Encoder presets are provided for lame, bladeenc, l3enc, xingmp3enc, mp3encode, gogo)

Delay-Tolerant Networking suitable for use in spacecraft
The Interplanetary Overlay Network (ION) software distribution is an implementation of Delay-Tolerant Networking (DTN) architecture, as described in Internet RFC 4838, that isintended to be usable in embedded environments including spacecraft flight computers. If you're interested in the use of Delay-Tolerant Networking in space flight operations, check out the Interplanetary Networking Chapter of the Internet Society: ipnsig.org. NOTE a bad typo (fix coming in 3.6.2): if you want to use SBSP, you *must* change "SPSB" to "SBSP" in line 307 of bp/library/ext/bpextensions.c before rebuilding with -DSBSP. OTHER NOTES: 1. A new ION Android developer's kit is now available. Download the Linux ION distribution, then look at the README in arch-android. 2. Two new Windows installers are also now available. The new default Windows download is for 64-bit Windows. For 32-bit Windows, please download ION-Installer32-3-6-1.zip.
