    React Codemirror

    React Codemirror

    Codemirror Component for React.js

React Codemirror is a React component wrapper around the CodeMirror code editor, making it easy to embed a powerful text editor into React applications. It exposes CodeMirror through a declarative React interface, where editor value and options are passed in as props and changes are reported via callbacks. The component can be integrated either through npm, as part of a bundler-based build process, or via a standalone UMD build included directly in a web page. It supports initialization with...

    minireset.css

    minireset.css

    A tiny modern CSS reset

minireset.css is a very small CSS reset that removes the most inconsistent default styles across browsers without wiping out useful defaults. Unlike heavy resets or opinionated base styles, it aims to be non-intrusive and safe to drop into any project. It normalizes margins, box sizing, and some inline element behaviors so that components render predictably. The file is intentionally short and readable, making it easy to audit and tailor to your needs.

    Picturefill

    Picturefill

    A responsive image polyfill

A Responsive Images approach that you can use today that mimics the proposed picture element using spans, for safety sake. Picturefill works best in browsers that support CSS3 media queries. The demo page references (externally) the matchMedia polyfill which makes matchMedia work in media-query-supporting browsers that don't support matchMedia. matchMedia and the matchMedia polyfill are not required for picturefill to work, but they are required to support the media attributes on picture...

    Extension Boilerplate

    Extension Boilerplate

A template for building cross browser extensions for Chrome

Now that Firefox supports WebExtensions, it has become a lot easier to build browser extensions/addons for multiple browsers without duplicating the codebase. This project serves as a sensible starting point to help you get started. A foundation for creating browser extensions for Chrome, Opera & Firefox. Your changes to CSS, HTML & JS files will be relayed instantly without having to manually reload the extension. This ends up saving a lot of time and improving the developer experience. This comes with a gulp-based workflow that converts modern ES6 JavaScript and SCSS to JS/CSS. Scripts are transpired using Babel and bundled using Browserify. jQuery Hover3d is a simple hover script for creating 3d hover effect. It was my experiment on exploring CSS3 3d transform back in 2015 on Codepen 3D hover plane effect. Fluidbox

    Fluidbox

Replicating and improving the lightbox module seen on Medium

...This project was originally initiated as a personal challenge to replicate Medium’s lightbox module, but it soon developed into a full-fledged jQuery plugin. Each initialized Fluidbox instance can therefore be styled independently from each other using CSS alone, requiring no further manipulation via JS (unless required on the user's behalf for specific implementations). Fluidbox listens to the click event triggered on the ghost element, .fluidbox__ghost, and toggles between two binary states, open or closed. TThe latest version of Fluidbox require two dependencies: jQuery v1.7 or above, and Ben Alman's debounce/throttle plugin.

    joelglovier.com

    joelglovier.com

Source for joelglovier.com. Built with Jekyll and hosted on GitHub

...I've been working on this site in various forms since around 2005. Initially it was just a customized Blogger page for a few years. Then, I designed and built the first version around 2008 after teaching myself to write HTML and CSS (and eventually some shoddy PHP). I launched the first version sometime around 2009. Ever since, I've been redesigning every few years. I've republished the older verions as repo dumps and GH pages just for fun and posterity.

    Interactive algorithm visualizations

...Going back and forth between function execution (and call stack when algorithm uses recursion) is effortless. So is pausing and resuming. This project uses styled-jsx, but takes the idea of CSS-in-JS even further. Sizing, positioning and transition offsets are computed by JS, all before elements hit the DOM.

    Concise CLI

    Concise CLI

    A CSS framework that's lightweight and easy-to-use

The Concise CLI can be used independently of any styles. In principle, it would will with any other CSS library, framework or any existing project so long as the code is plain CSS or contains only the features that can be compiled with PostCSS. Of course, one can start writing everything from scratch using Concise as well. The core library contains the very basic styles that one might use, and contains most of the code that was available on Concise v4.

    Midnight.js

    Midnight.js

Switch your nav's design on the fly

...After that, take any sections of your page that need a different nav and add data-midnight="your-class" to it, where .your-class is the class you are going to use to style that header. If you don't use the property or just leave it blank, the .default class will be used for that section. You can style it in your CSS using the class .midnightHeader.your-class. Use whatever CSS or markup you like for each one. They will be switched automatically when necessary. To make everything work, just load midnight (and jQuery) and initialize it. We take care of the rest.
