This program converts the output from the ThrottleTek-G throttle unit (Airbus 320 version) to input for the QPAC A320 plane, version 2.0 Basic, running on Linux in the X-Plane flight simulator. It converts the linear output range of the unit into forward and reverse power ranges, openng and closing the thrust-reversers round the 25% point of the unit's range. The built-in disconnect buttons on the handles can be used as intended; the end-switches at the full-reverse position of the handles are not used. -

The Gecko Hamaker open-source software project is a full implementation of the fully retarded Lifshitz formulations for isotropic and anisotropic plane-plane and cylinder-cylinder interactions with intervening interlayer materials, planar systems of up to 99 layers, and graded interfaces for the modeling of grain boundaries or other continuously changing systems, accompanied by a database of material optical properties spectra. The machine-readable optical property database is available for download and as a web service and makes available the full spectral optical properties of over 150 materials from both ab initio calculations and experimental measurements. -

Research project to compute repeating patterns in discrete planes
A 2D line can be rasterized into a 8-connected sequence of pixels which exhibit repeating patterns of connected pixels. Likewise, a 3D plane can be rasterized into connected cubes. A 'rectangular' cut of m x n cubes is a (m,n)-cube. Given m and n, the goal of this project is to generate all the (m,n)-cubes for all the (integer) discrete planes, based on the intersection vertices on a Farey diagram. -
