    OpenMuse

    OpenMuse

A personal agent with a browser, terminal, files, and work

OpenMuse is an open-source personal agent application that combines chat with its own browser, terminal, files, and persistent task execution. It runs separate server, task-worker, and browser-worker components while exposing the agent's activity to the user. Persistent Chromium profiles let tasks continue across authenticated browsing sessions, while an optional Linux workspace provides command execution and editable files.

    Socket.IO Redis Adapter

    Socket.IO Redis Adapter

Adapter to enable broadcasting of events to multiple server nodes

...The adapter uses Redis Pub/Sub as its communication layer, so Socket.IO packets can move between processes without storing persistent session data in Redis. It is useful when an application runs behind a load balancer, in a cluster, or across multiple machines. Developers can use it for chat systems, dashboards, multiplayer apps, notifications, collaborative tools, and any real-time system that needs horizontal scaling. It still requires proper sticky-session configuration at the load balancer level because Socket.IO sessions remain tied to the server that accepted them.

    Offline First Database Comparison

    Offline First Database Comparison

An implementation of the exact same app in Firestore, AWS Datastore

In this project I have implemented the exact same chat application with different database technologies. You can use it to compare metrics and learn about the differences. The chat app is a web-based angular application, with functionality similar to Whatsapp Web. All metrics are measured automatically via code in a browser test (chrome:headless). The results heavily depend on the developer's device.
