    Lightning Browser

    Lightning Browser

A lightweight Android browser with modern navigation

Lightning is a simple, fast web browser that focuses on design, security, and efficiency. It uses material design, doesn't track you, give you lots of options to protect your privacy. It gets out of the way of the user. I built this browser because I wanted something better. Blocking ads is a core feature of Lightning Browser, meant to improve the speed and security of your browsing experience. Lightning's interface was carefully crafted so you can browse as efficiently as possible. Tabs and Bookmarks are all tucked neatly away in side drawers, only a swipe away, allowing maximum screen viewing with minimal interference from the browser's chrome. Dark Mode, Light Mode, Color Mode, Night Mode, etc. By utilizing the WebKit rendering engine that comes built into your Android device, Lightning can ensure a swift, lightweight experience. Use Incognito Mode to browse without leaving a footprint, download Orbot and turn on TOR proxy support to mask your identify and location.

    Bowser

    Bowser

    Bowser is a browser detector

A small, fast and rich-API browser/platform/engine detector for both browser and node. The library is made to help to detect what browser your user has and gives you a convenient API to filter the users somehow depending on their browsers. Version 2.0 has drastically changed the API. All available methods are on the docs page. Often we need to pick users' browser properties such as the name, the version, the rendering engine and so on. You could want to filter some particular browsers to provide any special support for them or make any workarounds. Settings for any particular OS or platform has more priority and redefines settings of standalone browsers. Thus, you can define OS or platform-specific rules and they will have more priority in the end. More of API and possibilities you will find in the docs folder.

    FlutterBoost

Flutter plugin which enables hybrid integration of Flutter

A next-generation Flutter-Native hybrid solution. FlutterBoost is a Flutter plugin which enables hybrid integration of Flutter for your existing native apps with minimum efforts. The philosophy of FlutterBoost is to use Flutter as easy as using a WebView. Managing Native pages and Flutter pages at the same time is non-trivial in an existing App. FlutterBoost takes care of page resolution for you. The only thing you need to care about is the name of the page(usually could be an URL). Before proceeding, you need to integrate Flutter into your existing project. The Flutter SDK version supported by Boost 3.0 is >= 1.22.

    Proton Drive SDK

    Proton Drive SDK

SDK repository intended to provide reusable client libraries

Proton Drive SDK is Proton’s dedicated SDK repository intended to provide reusable client libraries for integrating Proton Drive capabilities into other applications, with an initial focus on a JavaScript SDK and plans for a C# SDK. The repository is explicitly labeled as a work in progress and notes that it is not ready for use yet, which signals that public APIs and stability guarantees should not be assumed at this stage. Its implementation is predominantly TypeScript, which is well-suited for producing strongly typed JavaScript libraries that can be consumed across modern web and Node.js environments. By centralizing shared SDK logic in a single repo, Proton can standardize how third-party or internal clients interact with Proton Drive’s protocols and behaviors, reducing duplication and improving consistency across platforms over time.

    gotify/server

    gotify/server

A simple server for sending and receiving messages in real-time

We wanted a simple server for sending and receiving messages (in real time per WebSocket). For this, not many open source projects existed and most of the existing ones were abandoned. Also, a requirement was that it can be self-hosted. We know there are many free and commercial push services out there. Both Gotify's API and user interface are designed to be as simple as possible. Notify is written in Go and can be easily compiled for different platforms. Docker images are automatically built on every release. Several static code analyzers and many unit/end2end tests are run on every travis-ci build. The heart of this project. gotify/server features a WebUI and functionality for sending messages via a REST-API. For subscribing/receiving messages via a web socket connection and managing users, clients and applications.

    hosts

    hosts

Consolidate and extend hosts files from several well-curated sources

Consolidating and extending hosts files from several well-curated sources. You can optionally pick extensions to block pornography, social media, and other categories. The unified hosts file is optionally extensible. Extensions are used to include domains by category. Currently, we offer the following categories: fakenews, social, gambling, and porn. Extensions are optional, and can be combined in various ways with the base hosts file. The combined products are stored in the alternates folder. Data for extensions are stored in the extensions folder. You manage extensions by curating this folder tree, where you will find the data for fakenews, social, gambling, and porn extension data that we maintain and provide for you. Create an optional blacklist file. The contents of this file (containing a listing of additional domains in hosts file format) are appended to the unified hosts file during the update process. A sample blacklist is included, and may be modified as you need.

    newpipeextractor

    newpipeextractor

Library for extracting streaming site data without official APIs

NewPipeExtractor is an open source Java library designed to extract data from streaming platforms by analyzing their web interfaces instead of relying on official APIs. It serves as the core extraction component used by the NewPipe Android application, but it is built as a standalone library that can also be integrated into other software projects. NewPipeExtractor provides a unified framework for retrieving information such as video streams, playlists, channels, and search results from supported streaming services. It handles many low-level tasks involved in web data extraction, including parsing responses, managing platform-specific logic, and handling errors, allowing developers to focus on implementing application features rather than scraping mechanics. Each supported service is implemented through its own extractor components that conform to a common interface, enabling consistent access to data across different platforms.

    Bromite

    Bromite

Bromite is a Chromium fork with ad blocking and privacy enhancements

Bromite is an open-source web browser for Android based on the Chromium codebase that prioritizes privacy, performance, and a clean user experience with minimal tracking or clutter. It enhances the standard browser functionality by including built-in ad blocking, customizable filters, and privacy-centric defaults that remove or mitigate tracking features often embedded in mainstream browsers. Bromite’s development focuses on giving users greater control over web content and behavior, such as options for DNS-over-HTTPS, disabling field trials, showing site settings (cookies, JavaScript, etc.) directly from the address bar, and avoiding unnecessary integrations that may compromise privacy. Designed for Android Marshmallow (6.0) and above, it keeps the familiar Chromium interface while stripping out telemetry and server-side experiments, making it appealing to privacy-conscious users and those tired of default browsers treating ads as a platform feature.

    FlexSlider

    FlexSlider

An awesome, fully responsive jQuery slider plugin

Simple, semantic markup. Supported in all major browsers, horizontal/vertical slide and fade animations. Multiple slider support, Callback API, and more. Hardware accelerated touch swipe support. Custom navigation options, compatible with the latest version of jQuery. Display your products in a neatly designed, responsive slideshow within WooCommerce. FlexSlider was built to serve up the best responsive jQuery slider around. I had built a few implementations of responsive sliders on different client projects and noticed that there was a glaring hole for plugin support with the concept. I wanted to build a plugin that would serve the newest of beginners, while providing seasoned developers a tool they could use with confidence. What has come forth is this, FlexSlider. I plan to maintain this plugin and provide support to users implementing FlexSlider into their sites. Responsive web design can be tricky, but I hope that FlexSlider serves to uncomplicate the process, just a little bit.

    Flutter InAppWebView Plugin

    Flutter InAppWebView Plugin

A Flutter plugin that allows you to add an inline webview

A Flutter plugin that allows you to add an inline WebView, to use a headless WebView, and to open an in-app browser window. Adding the InAppWebView widget into your app is very simple. It’s just a widget like any other Flutter widget. Use InAppBrowser or ChromeSafariBrowser to open an in-app browser! ChromeSafariBrowser is based on Chrome Custom Tabs on Android and on SFSafariViewController on iOS. Create a Class that extends the InAppBrowser/ChromeSafariBrowser Class in order to override the callbacks to manage the browser events. It can be used to run a WebView in background without attaching an InAppWebView to the widget tree. As InAppWebView, it has the same options and events. Use InAppWebViewController to control the headless WebView instance.

    Proton Drive for Android

Android client codebase for accessing Proton Drive

Proton Drive for Android is Proton’s official Android client codebase for accessing Proton Drive from phones and tablets, built as a full native Android application that you can compile and run in Android Studio or from the command line. The repository is structured like a typical production Android app with a Gradle-driven build, and its setup guidance emphasizes straightforward local development workflows as well as headless builds for CI-style environments. It is designed to plug into Proton Drive’s broader ecosystem so users can manage their cloud-stored files from an Android interface while keeping the client implementation transparent and reviewable as open source. The project documentation focuses on developer setup details such as SDK configuration and build commands, which is especially useful for engineers auditing or reproducing official builds.
