The tracking.js library brings different computer vision algorithms and techniques into the browser environment. By using modern HTML5 specifications, we enable you to do real-time color tracking, face detection and much more, all that with a lightweight core (~7 KB) and intuitive interface. To get started, download the project. This project includes all of the tracking.js examples, source code dependencies you'll need to get started. Unzip the project somewhere on your local drive. The package includes an initial version of the project you'll be working with. While you're working, you'll need a basic HTTP server to serve your pages. Test out the web server by loading the finished version of the project. The main goal of tracking.js is to provide those complex techniques in a simple and intuitive way on the web. an application to automatically extract text from comic books.
cbrTekStraktor is an application to automatically extract text from the text bubbles or speech balloons present in comic book reader files (CBR). Its prime goal is to perform analysis on the texts of comic books. cbrTekStraktor can however also be used for scanlation or similar purposes. The application also enables to manually define text areas in CBR files. The application comprises a simple graphical editor for further processing the extracted text. The text extraction is achieved by a combination of statistical and graphical processing operations. It is based on the following 3 major algorithms - Binarization of color images (Niblak and other methods) - Connected components - K-Means clustering Apache Tesseract is used to perform Optical Character Recognition on the extracted text. A subsequent version of the application will integrate with translation software in order to provide automated translation of comic book texts and re-inserion of translated texts -

The OpenCMISS-Zinc Library (opencmiss.org/zinc), or Zinc, is a software library for building interactive graphical modelling and visualisation applications. Models are represented in Zinc as mathematical fields defined over domains, including finite elements with support for high-order basis functions, complex parameter mappings and time variation, and image-based fields. Further fields can be defined by mathematical expressions and algorithms on existing fields, including image processing filters. Reconstruction and Visualization from a Single Projection (ReViSP) tool: a 3D volume rendering method we developed to reconstruct the 3D shape of multicellular spheroids, besides estimating the volume by counting the voxels (3D pixels) fully included in the 3D surface. ReViSP is written in MATLAB (The MathWorks, Inc., Massachusetts, USA) and the source code is freely provided.
