    RawTherapee

    RawTherapee

A powerful cross-platform raw photo processing program

...It’s written primarily in C++ with a GTK+ front-end, providing a high-precision 32-bit floating-point processing engine along with multiple demosaicing algorithms and advanced color-management features. The program supports a very wide range of camera raw formats (via a patched version of dcraw) as well as non-raw formats such as JPEG, TIFF, and PNG. Users can work non-destructively: adjustments are previewed but stored separately (sidecar files) and only applied during export, which allows experimentation without altering originals. The interface includes a file browser, processing queue, editing pane with full-image previews, history stack, and batch export functionality.

    key_color_image

Command line app for creating a particular color scale to images

It is a command line application to which you can pass a color, and the application transforms the input images to that color scale image (as if it was a gray scale, but that color instead of gray) In addition, the application allows you to set the global alpha of the image, and translate a particular color to a totally transparent alpha You can also disable alpha component, just in case the input image is a .jpg, or there is any restriction that makes the output image from being saved successfully If you do not know the color code, you can pass a color: -color input and the application will let you move the mouse on the screen, and when you press return, the color of the mouse pointer will be picked. (This does not work properly in certain environments, but you can always move the mouse over your color before launching the application) You can find more about it at this web site: https://www.frojasg1.com:8443/downloads_web/web/html/keyColorImage.html=origin=sourceforge

    ucme_compiler

A compiler that automatically generates parallel code

This compiler automatically generates C++, CUDA, MPI, or CUDA/MPI code for parallel processing. The idea is to require only minimal end user knowledge of how the underlying code works. It was originally intended for numerical analysis work, but it also is very applicable for image processing.

    TurboSphere

    TurboSphere

TurboSphere is an easy to learn and powerful JS based game engine.

...TurboSphere is largely compatible with the Sphere RPG engine, the main API change is the replacement of object creating functions with proper JavaScript constructors. This means that there are several completed games already made that work with TurboSphere, requiring only a small set of compatibility scripts to function in TurboSphere.

    LAVA for AFM

    LAVA for AFM

Lloyd's Algorithm-based Volumetric Analysis for AFM Images

...As the name implies, LAVA uses Lloyd's Algorithm, also known as k-means sorting, to identify a small set of volumes representative of the actual distribution of particle in the image. Although developed for determining feature volume, LAVA is also completely compatible with other types of image analysis, such as fluorescence intensity. Work is in progress to provide three-channel functionality, allowing comparison of relative intensity of red, green, and blue channels in multi-color images.

    EMGU Face Recognition

Using EMGU to perform Principle Component Analysis (PCA)

...Expand the References folder within the solution explorer delete the 3 with yellow warning icons and Add fresh references to them. Face Recognition has always been a popular subject for image processing and this article builds upon the good work by Sergio Andrés Gutiérrez Rojas and his original article (codeproject). The reason that face recognition is so popular is not only it’s real world application but also the common use of principle component analysis (PCA). PCA is an ideal method for recognising statistical patterns in data. The popularity of face recognition is the fact a user can apply a method easily and see if it is working without needing to know to much about how the process is working.

    DCTV

DUAL CONSTRAINED TV-BASED REGULARIZATION ON GRAPHS

Algorithms based on Total Variation (TV) minimization are prevalent in image processing. They play a key role in a variety of applications such as image denoising, compressive sensing and inverse problems in general. In this work, we extend the TV dual framework that includes Chambolle's and Gilboa-Osher's projection algorithms for TV minimization. We use a flexible graph data representation that allows us to generalize the constraint on the projection variable. We show how this new formulation of the TV problem may be solved by means of fast parallel proximal algorithms. ...

    StereoWS

StereoWS developed by UCL-MSSL within the ProVisG project

Since December 2008, UCL-MSSL developed a platform independent stereo application in collaboration with JPL, NASA as a subtask of EU-FP7 PRoViSG. This work was originally proposed for two months of work, but it was rescheduled to run untill August 2011 after realising its synergetic relationship with other UCL tasks within the ProVisG project. Within this time period, UCL delivered consortium members a stereo application (called StereoWS ver. 1.0), which integrates various practical stereo tools into the JPL’s stereo rendering engine (called JADIS). ...

    EMGU Kalman Filter

Kalman Filter for EMGU Image Processing Applications

...The Wiener filter problem is to reduce the amount of noise present in a signal by comparison with an estimation of the desired noiseless signal. The discrete-time equivalent of Wiener's work was derived independently by Kolmogorov and published in 1941. Hence the theory is often called the Wiener-Kolmogorov filtering theory. In these examples the signal processes is the movement of the mouse and random data. While a simple application the algorithm can have numerous applications including image smoothing, edge tracking and optical flow to name a few.
