...Starting with ifolor (from switzerland) and output to scribus (which is a DTP application and can easily be used to create a pdf), I plan to also support other formats and support cross conversion, but for that I need YOUR INPUT (at least test files). Also other output formats are possible, but I didn't find a better format in the open source world than scribus yet. The project runs in a Java virtual machine. This tool tries to find a suitable clipping border for a series of gray images. It is very useful to automatically extract clipping values for transcoding a movie if the source frame is encoded with black bars.

digital cameras/scaners/etc tends not to care about jpeg optimization too much so you can get quite big files. this script will help you to optimize them, reducing size up to 2 times without quality loss (i couldn't notice it visually)

Very simple and lightweight multi-threaded C# application that I threw together in order to convert a folder full of images from one file format to another. I find this very useful for uploading images from my digital camera to the web.
