Eicq is an ICQ client that is written Emacs Lisp.
Currently it isn't working, we are in the process of implementing version 8 of the ICQ protocol.
Eicq requires XEmacs 21.4 or newer.

Everybuddy Java (EBJava) is a messaging system written in Java. It consists of an applet and a server, and is used to log in to existing messaging services (AIM, ICQ, etc) through a unified interface. User settings are also stored on the server.
This is a complete Messaging system, having simple online/offline messaging and task management. It has a very light weight server. A GNOME/GTK+ client is also provided. The server uses mysql. plans are underway to allow for a LDAP server to be used.
icqlib is the most feature complete, open source, library implementation of Mirabilis' ICQ protocol available on the Internet. icqlib currently supports approximately 90% of the ICQ UDP v5 protocol and 80% of the ICQ TCP v2 protocol.
nicq makes possible to work with ICQ (after minor changes - with any OSCAR based) messaging network. Currently nicq supports: logging in (MD5-based authorization supported), setting up status/capabilities, sending/receiving messages.
This is a plugin for licq. It requires the current cvs copy of licq, as it is still in developement. The significant difference between this and any other icq client/clone is that the messaging style is similar to AOL IM. It's unique, check it out!
