Open source HTTP reverse proxy built in Rust for immutable infrastructures. Most existing tools have a static vision of production: a service is installed once on a long-lived server, updated from time to time, with configuration rarely changing. There's now a shift in infrastructure to short-lived virtual machines and hundreds of new deployments per day, and the usual tools reach their limits. How do we reconcile a dynamic environment with availability guarantees? How can we get "zero downtime" deployments for critical services? SŌZU is a HTTP reverse proxy built in Rust, that can handle fine-grained configuration changes at runtime without reloads, and is designed to never ever stop. SŌZU receives and handles configuration changes at runtime and updates its internal configuration without restarts. You can update the configuration multiple times per second, and it will take care of lingering connections. -

Tesla is built around the concept of composable middlewares. This is very similar to how Plug Router works. All HTTP functions, such as Tesla.get/3 and Tesla.post/4, can take a dynamic client as the first argument. This allows using convenient syntax for modifying the behavior in runtime. Tesla supports multiple HTTP adapter that do the actual HTTP request processing. Each piece of the stream will be encoded as JSON and sent as a new line (conforming to JSON stream format). You can set the adapter to Tesla.Mock in tests. -

The AWS IoT Device SDK for Embedded C (C-SDK) is a collection of C source files under the MIT open source license that can be used in embedded applications to securely connect IoT devices to AWS IoT Core. The OwnTracks Recorder is a lightweight program for storing and accessing location data published via MQTT (or HTTP) by the OwnTracks apps. It is a compiled program which is easy to install and operate even on low-end hardware, and it doesn't require an external database. There are two main components: the Recorder obtains data via MQTT subscribes or HTTP POST, stores the data in plain files and serve it via its built-in REST API, and the ocat command-line utility reads stored data in a variety of formats. We developed the Recorder as a one-stop solution to storing location data published by our OwnTracks apps (iOS and Android) and retrieving this data. Our previous offerings (m2s, o2s/Pista) also work of course, but we believe the Recorder is best suited to most environments. -

Detects connection issues (on React Native). The only required property is baseURL and it should be the starting point for your API. It can contain a sub-path and a port as well. The responses are promise-based, so you'll need to handle things in a .then() function. The promise is always resolved with a response object. Even if there was a problem with the request! This is one of the goals of this library. It ensures sane calling code without having to handle .catch and has 2 separate flows. -

CVE-2021-31166
Remote HTTP.sys use-after-free triggered remotely
This is a proof of concept for CVE-2021-31166 ("HTTP Protocol Stack Remote Code Execution Vulnerability"), a use-after-free dereference in http.sys patched by Microsoft in May 2021. The bug itself happens in http!UlpParseContentCoding where the function has a local LIST_ENTRY and appends an item to it. When it's done, it moves it into the Request structure; but it doesn't NULL out the local list. The issue with that is that an attacker can trigger a code-path that frees every entry of the local list leaving them dangling in the Request object. -
