`parsehtml.php` is a HTML parser written in PHP. It should be pretty fast and can even cope with invalid HTML input. Additionally a function is provided to indent HTML code properly.

PDML2 is a fork (continuation) of the PDML project - it is an informal markup language written in PHP that is similar to HTML. It allows for the creation of complex PDF documents for use in command line or web applications.

The critical path is the path to render a web page, what's needed before that can happen. CSS Stylesheets block rendering. Until the browser has requested, received, downloaded, and parsed your stylesheets, the page will remain blank. By reducing the amount of CSS the browser has to go through, and by inlining it on the page (removing the HTTP request), we can get the page to render much, much faster. You should minify the critical CSS, then inline it on your page (wrapped in <style> tags). It should be placed in the header, replacing the full CSS link(s). The full CSS, and JS script tags (which also block rendering), should be moved out of the HEAD, to the end of the page, just before the closing body tag. You need to generate critical CSS for each page individually. Make sure to only move down the full CSS to the bottom of the page for pages where you have inlined critical path CSS in the header.

Pypandoc provides a thin wrapper for pandoc, a universal document converter. Pypandoc uses pandoc, so it needs an available installation of pandoc. Pypandoc provides 2 packages, "pypandoc" and "pypandoc_binary", with the second one including pandoc out of the box. The 2 packages are identical, with the only difference being that one includes pandoc, while the other don't. If pandoc is already installed (i.e. pandoc is in the PATH), pypandoc uses the version with the higher version number, and if both are the same, the already installed version. rehype is a tool that transforms HTML with plugins. These plugins can inspect and change the HTML. You can use rehype on the server, the client, CLIs, deno, etc. rehype is an ecosystem of plugins that work with HTML as structured data, specifically ASTs (abstract syntax trees). You can use rehype for many different things. unified is the core project that transforms content with ASTs. rehype adds support for HTML to unified. hast is the HTML AST that rehype uses. Depending on the input you have and output you want, you can use different parts of rehype. If the input is HTML, you can use rehype-parse with unified. If the output is HTML, you can use rehype-stringify with unified If both the input and output are HTML, you can use rehype on its own.
