Safe, open source brain stimulation for everyone!
OpenStim is a set of open-source hardware and software designed to administer transcranial direct current stimulation for less than $50. IMPORTANT NOTICE Recently, an error was discovered in the documentation page describing the commands for setting the stimulation polairty. The documentation originally indicated that setting operating_power to a positive number would set the output from W6 as the anode. This is not correct for the most recent version of OpenStim and has been corrected. Note that the correct cofngiuration is: If operating power is set to a positive number the output from the digital potentiometer (W6) should be the cathode If operating_power is set to a negative number, W6 should be the anode

Enhance useful field of view, speed of responsiveness, brain exerciser
Python and pygame cross platform program to exercise the brain with the intention of enhancing useful field of view, also known as speed of responsiveness. This yields benefits in driving, motility, and even depressive symptoms, as described in research papers of randomized, double blind trials. Whether ufov exercise the brain to yield those benefits is unknown, since there are no research studies using it. The research is conducted with a commercial product that I have not seen or used. I used the description of what useful field of view is supposed to do to create this program for experimental purposes. I notice personal changes from using the program, but that is only anecdotal evidence. I was especially struck by the research that found a significant decrease in dementia for those who used such a program to exercise their brain. For a full description of the program, and links to some information about useful field of view, see the project web page.

Organizing the Knowledge of Humanity
This project aims to make the expanse of human knowledge beautifully presentable and the exabytes of data navigable by an average user via the power of a Unified Data Model and 3d visualization layer for the Web. It will invert the top 3 layers of the OSI network model to make a 3-dimensional presentation layer with a peer-to-peer session layer for the Internet. For the curious, there is a simple demo that provides a small sense of the possibilities. Requires: VPython available here or see http://vpython.org.
