A Multi-functional GUI-based Program for Image Processing and Analysis
Most of the medical images (e.g. CT, MRI, PET, etc.) comprises multiple frames which represent slices, phases, timing etc. from the same imaging object. Those images can be saved as multidimensional matrices in Matlab thanks to Matlab's powerful support of multidimensional data representation. However, within Matlab, most of image manipulation functions are limited or tailored for processing two-dimensional matrix. The MatrixUser is a software package which features functions designed and optimized specifically for manipulating multidimensional real or complex data matrix. MatrixUser provides a nice graphical environment for easily performing image analysis tasks including multidimensional image display, matrix (image stack) processing and rendering etc. MatrixUser is a great lightweight tool for users who are working in image processing field under Matlab. Structure parameter inference approach for endocrine feedback control
SPINA is software for determining constant structure-parameters of endocrine feedback control systems from hormone levels obtained in vivo. The first version of this cybernetic approach allows for evualuating the functional status of the thyroid gland, i.e. thyroid's secretory capacity (GT or SPINA-GT) and sum activity of peripheral deiodinases (GD or SPINA-GD).
The sandbox libraries (libsandbox & pysandbox) are an open-source suite of software components for C/C++ and Python developers to create automated profiling tools and watchdog programs. The API's are designed for executing and instrumenting simple (single process) tasks, featuring policy-based behavioral auditing, resource quota, and statistics collecting. The sandbox libraries were originally designed and utilized as the core security module of a full-fledged online judge system for ACM/ICPC training. They have since then evolved into a general-purpose tool for binary program testing, profiling, and security restriction. The sandbox libraries are currently maintained by the OpenJudge Alliance (http://openjudge.net/) as a standalone, open-source project to facilitate various assignment grading solutions for IT/CS education. Oberon V4 for Linux and sources for different Oberon V4 implementation
Here you can find both an Oberon V4 system for Linux (x86) as well as a collection of sources for various other platforms. Oberon V4 was implemented at ETH Zurich for several platforms. Binaries can be found on their server and on the one of the University of Linz where Mössenböck's group did further development after he left ETH and the Group at ETH concentrated on System 3. Data structures and Algorithms library
Aleph-w is a library of data structures and algorithms implemented in and for C++. It contains the main data structures: single and double lists, special arrays (dynamic and of bits), many types of trees: multitrees, binary search trees, avl, red-black, randomized, treaps, splay and other interesting types. Several types of hash tables are implemented: separated chaining, open adressing with linear probing and double function hash; this last one has a garbage colector mechanism that allows to free deleted entries. Dynamic linear hash tables are implemented too. The main algorithms on graphs are implemented in an easy way and with good performance features. Network Flow (maximum and min cost), cut points, topological sort, spanning trees, min paths. etc. The graphs are generic in the sense that they can contain data independent of the algorithm. Several containers of the C++ STL library are implemented with Aleph-w. Their performance is better than GNU implementation
Peak and global efficiency of radiation source-detector equipment
This software uses Geant4 simulation toolkit for computing detector efficiency (detector response or calibration factor) in terms of peak efficiency and global (gross) efficiency. It is designed mainly for gamma detectors (NaI or HpGe) but can be extended for beta or any other radiation type. Radiation source can be frontal beam, point source, Sarpagan baker (cylinder) and Marinelli baker. Due to the nature of Monte Carlo simulation technique, all geometries involved must be well known for accurate results! Can be used along with RadiationHelper (Beta_Gamma_MC module with Geant4 checkbox selected) but make sure that inside RadiationHelper folder there is MonteCarloPath.txt file (if does not exist, manually create it) having the first line pointing to the path of detector.exe folder (e.g. D:\\DetectorCalibration\\Build) and, if on Linux, next lines pointing to the Geant4 data. This software performs various quality control tests for XRay devices used in radiography, mammography, fluoroscopy and CT such as: HVL/tube filtration, high voltage, exposure time, tube output, MTF calculations, film sensitometry, AEC devices and more. It also compute patient doses using an external program based on the GEANT4 simulation toolkit.
