Free software for generating understandable and accurate fuzzy systems
GUAJE stands for Generating Understandable and Accurate fuzzy models in a Java Environment. Thus, it is a free software tool (licensed under GPL-v3) with the aim of supporting the design of interpretable and accurate fuzzy systems by means of combining several preexisting open source tools, taking profit from the main advantages of all of them. It is a user-friendly portable tool designed and developed in order to make easier knowledge extraction and representation for fuzzy systems, paying special attention to interpretability issues. GUAJE lets the user define expert variables and rules, but also provide supervised and fully automatic learning capabilities. Both types of knowledge, expert and induced, are integrated under the expert supervision, ensuring interpretability, simplicity and consistency of the knowledge base along the whole process. Notice that, GUAJE is is an upgraded version of the free software called KBCT (Knowledge Base Configuration Tool).

RTuinOS, the event based Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for Arduino, is now hosted at SourceForge. In this revision, 1.0, the event concept has been generalized. Events can now be broadcasted events, semaphores or mutexes. This permits to implement all the usual inter-task communication patterns. Please refer to the user guide and the diverse code samples for details. The second technical change is a complete revision of the makefile. It has been improved in many aspects and it now supports three host operating systems; the RTuinOS samples (as well as your applications) can be built under Linux, Windows and Mac OS. RTuinOS 1.0 is distributed as setup (a ZIP archive), which contains all source files and the complete documentation, also with source files. A Computer Program of a Medical Textbook of General Practice.
A computer scientist has attempted to program a textbook of British general practice (primary care) medicine, that is, Hodgkin K (1978) "Towards Earlier Diagnosis....", 4th Edition, Churchill Livingstone. If a patient types presenting findings (such as headache, cough), the program prompts the user for expansion/denial of appropriate findings, in order to construct a list of patient findings. The program also calculates a list of likely diseases, which the user can use the web to find out more about. The program has about 600 diseases and 1000 findings. Calculates Volume, Surface Area & Centroid of a Closed Triangular Mesh
The ObjectVolume program calculates the volume, surface area and centroid of a closed triangular mesh represented in an object file (.obj). The process goes through the list of triangles that make up the surface and, for each triangle, forms a tetrahedron with an external point. The program uses the origin (0,0,0). The volume of the tetrahedron is then calculated. Tetrahedrons with back facing triangles are added and those with forward facing triangles are subtracted yielding the object volume. A detailed description of the process is presented in the ObjectVolumeTutorial.doc document as well as program logic and results. A key component in the program is a subroutine that calculates the volume of a tetrahedron. Four sets of equations were tested and to my surprise all four produced similar results in accuracy and timing.
