Avestan Unicode Fonts
The glyph outlines origin from Yasna 10 of the manuscript of Tehran University Library, nr. 11263. The scanned manuscript can be viewed under Ave976 on wwww.avesta-archive.com In the manuscript long [i] and long [u] do not differ, as well as both short and long [o]. Nevertheless, long [u] and short [o] are mapped in the font. Their outlines follow the script style of the manuscript. The letters for [θ] and [x] have two different shapes in the manuscript, so I have added one of each of them into the Private Use Area. Most of ligatures encountered in the manuscript have been mapped as well in the Private Use Area range. The punctuation of the manuscript includes only two signs from the Avestan Unicode range: the centered period and the so called "large two dots over one dot", so only these two signs were mapped in the font.
Brewing System Automation Controller
BSAC is a brewing system automation and control software that is useful for any hobbyist building an advanced system for him self as well as for small time breweries. BSAC is developed on the brew-in-a-bag (or brew-in-a-bucket) concept and mainly suitable for this kind of setup. The author has a high-tech, stainless steel version of this setup with pump and valves. Presently the software runs on a Linux controller (ARM based) and with a certain display HW. It is also being ported to a standard Linux PC with standard display. The project contains an abstraction layer to make all sorts of porting to other target platforms easier. The BSAC project includes documentation for at least two complete setups (57L and 210L) with actual pumps, valves, fixtures, brewing pots etc. BSAC is the brain in the intelli-brew system, see http://intelli-brew.com/
Open architecture GPU simulator and implementation
Documentation, simulator, compiler, and Verilog implementation of a completely open-architecture graphics processing unit. This design is intended for academic and commercial purposes. The first step is to develop a detailed GPU simulator and compiler. The second step is to implement the GPU in synthesizable Verilog. The third step is to develop a feedback loop between the simulator and implementation, allowing power, performance, and reliability aspects of the hardware to feed back into ever more detailed and accurate simulations of a complete GPU. LICENSING Primary licensing is GPLv3. Secondary is Commercial. Commercial licensing (use incompatible with GPLv3) will be available via an elected or appointed non-profit Facilitator. dotCMS is a Java based Open Source Content Management System (CMS).
DotCMS is a free software / open source web content management system (WCM) for building/managing websites, content and content driven web applications. DotCMS includes features such as support for virtual hosting, WebDav, structured content, clustering and can run on multiple databases PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL and Oracle. It also includes standard WCM features like page caching, templating, and an API. There are a number of features and modules in dotCMS, including RSS feeds, AJAX calendar, a reporting engine, news listing, blogs, forums, user tracking and tagging, built in search engine and language internationalization to name a few.
IPaMS is a central management system for programme descriptors and module templates. It has been produced using Zend Framework, at The University of Exeter in a joint funded project with JISC.
