Linguistic Tree Constructor (LTC) is a tool for drawing lingusitic syntax trees of already-existing text. It is a syntax editor, not a text editor, so the text has to exist already. It is best suited for large-scale, rapid creation of hand-annotated treebanks. The user can define their own node categories, and can label each node with labels, also definable by the user. LTC supports "generic", X-Bar and RRG trees. Supports interlinear texts in SIL SFM format.

Zhongwen Development Tool - helping to study Mandarin Chinese
The ZDT (Zhongwen Development Tool) is written in Java using the Eclipse RCP to help users study mandarin Chinese. The most important feature is the flashcard study feature. ZDT currently contains: * a Flashcard plugin for memorizing Chinese characters, their meaning and their pinyin/pronunciation. The user is able to import Character lists or enter them manually. This * a Dictionary search plugin with three dictionaries: ADSO, CeDict, HanDeDict. The HanDeDict is a German dictionary. It is also possible to search any word lists entered by the user using the flashcard plugin. * an Annotator plugin. The Annotator converts the Chinese characters into pinyin, using the Alphabet with accents. On the ZDT website, flashcard lists are available for some commonly used books, such as Hanyu Jiaocheng (汉语教程). A program to calculate and represent the Mandelbrot set
This project is a C++ program to calculate and represent graphically the Mandelbrot fractal set, and/or the corresponding Julia sets, according to the seed Z0 given by the user as input. The user disposes of a graphical interface to control the program and modify conveniently some parameters, like the XY-scales, the XY map area, the Julia seed for the complex series iteration of Z(n+1)=Z(n)^2+a, being Z(0)=(X0,Y0) the seed, and "a in XY" the points to be calculated. The user can enter (among other parameters) the desired convergence-radius R for the series, and/or the number of maximal iterations N for the generator-equation in Z.

HistoryCal is a practical calculator designed to work with historical dates and calendars. The calculator will allow you to work with many different world calendar schemes and calculate ranges and ages based on these calendars. The calculator also has a script language that allows you to create variations of the built-in calendars: calendars that shift the new year to a different day; hybrid calendars that switch between schemes; local observational calendars that depend on a particular location; year counts that change for specific eras (regnal calendars) and calendars that require adjustment due to subtle differences in calculation.

The program JStruct (JavaStructurizer) allows creation, editing and reverse engineering of Java code using structured blocks (NSD: Nassi-Shneiderman Diagrams ). JStruct provides an interactive graphical editor with copy, move, zoom, expand etc. Comments for each block ( javadoc and inline ), import and export of java source files. JStruct exports images in various raster and vector formats, and it offers high interactivity: tooltips and context menus, undo and redo functionality in a very intuitive GUI. IT inventory: keep track of devices, networks and cables in a database
Have an independent desktop app for your Linux laptop to manually keep track of assets in your IT environment, keep inventory of occupied IP addresses, devices, NIC's, networks, cables that run from one point to another (connected to NIC's in devices) and as such cross certain rooms (or not), unused cables (available or lost?). Keep everything in a MySQL compatible database, so that you have full access to your data in any case. Access data at least to retrieve with a CLI (Gambas interpreted) for cases where no full desktop is available (maybe when you need these data the most). Work starts at tables and basic use, hope to change the description once to: Have a NICE desktop program. In the end, I want to be able to: - drag 'n drop cable plugs to device's NIC - pull cables to rooms they run through - list all free or used ip addresses - calculate the value of (selection of) devices for insurance of bookkeeping - sum the invested amount in IT devices over time - print reports
