    GassistPi

    GassistPi

Google Assistant for Single Board Computers

Google Assistant for Single Board Computers. In May of 2017, Google Released it’s AIY Projects kit. Initially not many had access to it, so that is when I started modifying the Google Assistant SDK adding AIY like features to help out the ones left without the kit. Every project requires a name and so I named it GassistPi (“G”oogle “Assist”ant on “Pi”). Fast forwarding to date, the project works not only on Pi boards but on a number of other platforms. It has some interesting custom actions for both entertainment and home automation needs. ...

    Jarvis Home Automation

    Jarvis Home Automation

Home automation with wake word detection and SMS commands.

Jarvis is a Home Assistant (https://home-assistant.io/) implementation with wake word detection, SMS commands, and a lot of automation control. While the Conversation component does it's job, it's currently a bit limited and without wake word detection it was almost useless to me. I also have tried the AlexaPi implementation as well as using Amazon Alexa products. However, creating custom intents was not as straight forward as I would have liked for quick and easy creation. Between wake word and API.AI for speech handling, it appears to work rather well.

    indicator-hosts-up

    indicator-hosts-up

Panel Indicator to interact and monitor hosts

...This was born as many others from my need to turn on/off a computer in another room or see what is up before going to bed or be alerted by some intrusion in my local net via wi-fi. It needs a lot of improvements and I hope the community can help. New hosts are discovered via /etc/hosts and nmap but can be added manually too.
