Language Prototyping System

A haskell-written notification center for users that like a desktop with style. The notification center receives notifications via DBUS (like any notification daemon) and shows them in the upper right corner of the screen. The notification (if not specified in the notification otherwise) will also be shown in the notification center even after the notification disappeared by itself. The notifications can be clicked to make them disappear. Notifications can be replaced by the use of the replaces-id feature of the notification specification. The notification center can (optionally) show user-specified buttons in the bottom that can be in two states (highlighted/not highlighted) and that can run customizable shell commands.

This is the development site of the LiquidHaskell formal verification tool. If you're a LiquidHaskell user (or just curious), you probably want to go to the documentation website instead. LiquidHaskell (LH) refines Haskell's types with logical predicates that let you enforce important properties at compile time. LH warns you that head is not total as it is missing the case for [] and checks that it is total on NonEmpty lists. The input contract propagates to uses of head which are verified by ensuring the arguments are NonEmpty. LH lets you avoid off-by-one errors that can lead to crashes or buffer overflows. Dependent contracts let you specify, e.g. that dotProduct requires equal-sized vectors. LH checks that functions terminate and so warns about the infinite recursion due to the missing case in fib.

Matterhorn is a terminal client for the Mattermost chat system. We provide pre-built binary releases for some platforms. Please see the release list to download a binary release for your platform that matches your server version. When you run Matterhorn you'll be prompted for your server URL and credentials. To connect, just paste your web client's Mattermost URL into the Server URL box and enter your credentials. See the Matterhorn User Guide on the details for providing each kind of supported credentials. For most of our binary releases, no additional packages need to be installed; they should just work out of the box. But here are some additional requirements that may apply for your platform. Matterhorn version strings will be of the form ABBCC.X.Y where ABBCC corresponds to the lowest Mattermost server version expected to be supported by the release. For example, if a release supports Mattermost server version 1.2.3, the ABBCC portion of the matterhorn version will be 10203.

More Than Parsing is a parser generator for context free grammars defined in a BNF-like format. It generates scanners, parsers, ASTs, etc. This sf project is no longer active, development will continue in a different place.

Ormolu is a formatter for Haskell source code. Using GHC's own parser to avoid parsing problems caused by haskell-src-exts. Let some whitespace be programmable. The layout of the input influences the layout choices in the output. This means that the choices between single-line/multi-line layouts in certain situations are made by the user, not by an algorithm. This makes the implementation simpler and leaves some control to the user while still guaranteeing that the formatted code is stylistically consistent. Writing code in such a way so it's easy to modify and maintain. Implementing one “true” formatting style which admits no configuration. The formatting style aims to result in minimal diffs. Choose a style compatible with modern dialects of Haskell. As new Haskell extensions enter broad use, we may change the style to accommodate them. Idempotence: formatting already formatted code doesn't change it.

Paperboy is a tiny .pdf management utility. If you download papers and other pdf documents, you might have noticed that filenames like 1412.4880.pdf are not terribly helpful for finding anything later on. This tool helps with that. It will offer to rename and move files to a specified folder, and it even gives some filename suggestions by looking at the content and the pdf metadata. Paperboy keeps its file management dumb on purpose (no keeping files in a database or hidden library folder), so you can uninstall it at any time and your files will remain perfectly accessible. Any pointers or help with regards to generate .deb, .rpm, AUR PKGBUILD, etc is appreciated. Ideally this could be mostly automated in CI, in the end Paperboy is just a single binary with a dependency or two. How do other packages do it? If you got a good example or link, open a GitHub issue! Make sure you have poppler installed, which will provide both pdftotext and pdfinfo.

Queryparser is Uber’s open source Haskell library for parsing and analyzing SQL queries written in different dialects (Vertica, Hive, Presto). It creates a unified AST and supports name resolution using catalog metadata, enabling large-scale query analysis for lineage detection, analytics, and tooling. The parsing logic produces an AST with table and column identifiers that are "raw" or optionally qualified. Frequently, it is desirable to convert the AST over raw names to an AST over resolved names, where identifiers are fully qualified. This transformation is called "name resolution" or simply "resolution". It requires as input the full list of columns in every table and the full list of tables in every schema, otherwise known as "catalog information". The parsing logic produces an AST with table and column identifiers that are "raw" or optionally qualified.

The Rome binary is also attached as a zip to each release on the releases page here on GitHub. Suppose you're working a number of frameworks for your project and want to share those with your team. A great way to do so is to use Carthage and have team members point the Cartfile to the new framework version (or branch, tag, commit) and run Carthage update. Unfortunately, this will require them to build from scratch a new framework. This is particularly annoying if the dependency tree for that framework is big and/or takes a long time to build. Use a cache. The first team member (or a CI) can build the framework and share it, while all other developers can get it from the cache with no waiting time.
