Application to help the localization of OpenOffice.org GSI text files

Alignment solver is a utility to solve alignment of Road, Rail or Tunnel. It can handle horizontal and vertical offset alignment , offset in transitions. cant, Import form LANDxml and other formats , exports to Landxml, GSI , Trimble ascii , Inroads ascii etc. The project is under Heavy development. General Sound Interface (GSI). This is a sound interface capable of controlling every detail of sound playing. It can use the following interfaces: OSS, Ultrasound (Linux 2.0.x & 2.1.x), FreeBSD (pcm), and generic /dev/audio.

Program is determined for reading GSI files which contains leveling measurements. GSI data format is used in geodetic instruments from Leica Geosystems to export measurement data. This program was made as a school project. Localization is curently made only in czech language.

CLEiM (Cross Lingual Education in Medicine) is an opensource version of an Intelligent System which extract concepts from medical texts and provides qualified information. It integrates information from various sources. This system has been developed by the Intelligent System Group GSI (http://www.esi.uem.es/gsi/) at UEM University. We do NER (Named Entity Recognition) based on GATE platform. The installation is simple, you can use it as a Web application. It has been tested under apache-tomcat. The original system has been successfully used to carry out active learning activities with medical students. However, it could be interesting in much more knowledge fields.

The FAZIA project groups together more than 10 institutions in Nuclear Physics, which are working in the domain of heavy-ion induced reactions around and below the Fermi energy (10-100AMeV). The aim of the project is to build a 4Pi array for charged particles, with high granularity and good energy resolution, with A and Z identification capability over the widest possible range. It will use the up-to-date techniques concerning detection, signal processing and data flow, with full digital electronics. Neutron detection is also foreseen via the collaboration with the NEUTROMANIA group. FAZIA is designed to operate at stable and radioactive beams facilities like LNL-Legnaro, LNS-Catania in Italy, GANIL-SPIRAL and SPIRAL2 in France, GSI-FAIR in Germany in the horizon 2010-2015. The availability of the european radioactive beam facility EURISOL expected in the period 2015-2020 will also be a major opportunity for the FAZIA community.
