The TESTIMAGES archive is a huge and free collection of sample images designed for analysis and quality assessment of different kinds of displays and image processing techniques. The archive includes more than 2 million images originally acquired and divided in three different categories: SAMPLING and SAMPLING_PATTERNS (aimed at testing resampling algorithms), COLOR (aimed at testing color rendering on different displays) and PATTERNS (aimed at testing the rendering of standard geometrical patterns). Instance metadata is data about your instance that you can use to configure or manage the running instance. Instance metadata is divided into categories, for example, hostname, events, and security groups. You can also use instance metadata to access user data that you specified when launching your instance. For example, you can specify parameters for configuring your instance, or include a simple script. You can build generic AMIs and use user data to modify the configuration files supplied at launch time. For example, if you run web servers for various small businesses, they can all use the same generic AMI and retrieve their content from the Amazon S3 bucket that you specify in the user data at launch. To add a new customer at any time, create a bucket for the customer, add their content, and launch your AMI with the unique bucket name provided to your code in the user data. If you launch more than one instance at the same time, the user data is available to all instances. -

There is both a graphical and command line interface. Gifcurry edits your GIFs or videos and turns them into videos or GIFs. You can crop, trim, seek, add text, pick a font, alter the duration, change the size, set the FPS, tweak the color count, enable dithering, import subtitles, and save your creation as either a GIF or video. Before you download Gifcurry, make sure your machine has GTK+, GStreamer, FFmpeg, and ImageMagick. Linux users can download the AppImage or the prebuilt binaries. If you'd rather install it, you can do so via pacman (Arch) or snap. If you're really courageous, you can build it from source. -

A Blender script to procedurally generate 3D spaceships from a random seed. Install Blender 2.80 or greater. Download newest add_mesh_SpaceshipGenerator.zip from the Releases section. Under Edit, Preferences, Add-ons, Install, open the downloaded ZIP file. Under Edit, Preferences, Add-ons enable the "Add Mesh Spaceship Generator" script (search for "spaceship"). Add a spaceship in the 3D View under Add, Mesh, Spaceship. Expand the Spaceship tab that appears in the bottom left of the viewport to adjust procedural generation settings. Build the hull. Extrude the front/rear faces several times, adding random translation/scaling/rotation along the way. Add asymmetry to the hull: Pick random faces and extrude them out in a similar manner, reducing in scale each time. Categorize each face by its orientation and generate details on it such as engines, antenna, weapon turrets, lights etc. -

Enable the modal backdrop, specify static for the backdrop that will not close the modal on click. Specify the visibility and the content of the title. Filter the images for viewing (should return true if the image is viewable, return false to ignore the image). Indicate if toggle the image size between its natural size and initial size when double click on the image or not. As there are some asynchronous processes when start the viewer, you should call a method only when it is available. If you have to use another viewer with the same namespace, call the Viewer.noConflict static method to revert to it. -

3D engine with modern graphics
Wicked Engine is an open-source 3D engine with modern graphics. Use this as a C++ framework for your graphics projects, a standalone 3D editor, LUA scripting or just for learning. To build Wicked Engine for Windows (10 or later), use the latest version of Visual Studio and the provided WickedEngine.sln solution file. By simply pressing F5, the Editor application will be built. There are other example projects that you can build as well within the solution. If you want to develop a C++ application that uses Wicked Engine, you can build the WickedEngine static library project for the appropriate platform, such as WickedEngine_Windows, and link against it. Including the "WickedEngine.h" header will attempt to link the binaries for the appropriate platform, but search directories should be set up beforehand. -

Web-based protein structure viewer and analysis tool
"I see in 3D" (iCn3D) Structure Viewer is not only a web-based 3D viewer, but also a structure analysis tool interactively or in the batch mode using NodeJS scripts based on the npm package icn3d. iCn3D synchronizes the display of 3D structure, 2D interaction, and 1D sequences and annotations. Users' custom displays can be saved in a short URL or a PNG image. The complete package of iCn3D including Three.js and jQuery is in the directory "dist" after you get the source code with the "Code" button. View a 3D structure in iCn3D, input a PDB ID, and click "Load". You can also click the "File" menu to "Open File" or input other IDs. You can open a browser in your Virtual Reality (VR) headset and view a 3D structure in iCn3D. Then click the button "Enter VR" at the bottom center of your browser to enter the VR view. You can select residues with the trigger button.
