Java Image Processing Program
ImageJ2x is medical image processing program inspired by NIH Image for the Macintosh. It can display, edit, analyze, process, save and print 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit images. There can be many image formats including TIFF, GIF, JPEG, BMP, DICOM, PNG, FITS and "raw" and ... Read and supports "stacks" (stack), a series of images that share a single window. The program supports simultaneous that number of windows (images), limited only by available memory. It is multithreaded, so that time-consuming operations such as reading lists in parallel with other operations are performed. It can calculate area and pixel value statistics of user-defined selection. It can measure distances and angles. It can record density histograms and line profiles. It supports standard image processing functions such as contrast manipulation, sharpening, smoothing, edge detection and filtering it through all kinds of geometric transformations such as Zoom in / out and rotation. Galaxy extraterrestrial life simulation
EtiC is a galaxy simulation software that generates and renders a mock galaxy for rational estimation of the number of extraterrestrial civilizations. Stars and planets are simulated with plausible physical characteristics, based on user-adjustable parameters. An EtiC simulation run consists to generate a galaxy disk physical stars, associate planets to the stars, and for habitable planets, simulate the life stages evolution until extinction. A visual animation of the galaxy and user selection of highlighted star-planet objects is provided, together with statistics (25+ graphs) and estimates of Drake equation factors. The V2_1 provides several new features: planets surface magnetic field, reworked life stage transitions, integration of MW exoplanets catalog, planets view and graphs window optionally on different threads... EtiC is based on OpenGL / GLFW 3.2, runs on MSWindows 7 and MacOsX. Source code in C++, was developped using the Dev-C++ IDE and XCode.
Qt Applet for color conversion
Qt Applet for color conversion between different spaces (XYZ, xyz, L*U*V*, LAB (Hunter), L*A*B*, RGB, sRGB, Adobe RGB, YIQ, Y'UV). Gives the color for a Black Body at a given temperature. Plots the chromaticity diagram and gives an approximation of the dominant wavelength and purity. Plots the histograms for an input image in a given color space.

This project is an attempt to write cross-platform code which implements the Haars Transform (Discrete Wavelet Transform / DWT) in 2D for image manipulation. The code provided will use SDL to half the size of an image in both the x and y directions.
Reveal fractal patterns in irrational numbers
CloisterWalk can test your favorite number or will let you choose a number from a list. Many provided numbers are known irrationals, others are still uncertain. Enter the number of steps you would like to walk and click the Go button to produce a graph. If a number does not seem interesting, try switching between the square and hexagonal grids. Can you predict what is going to happen next time you click the Go button? Can you figure out why fractal patterns emerge? Can CloisterWalk be used to test numbers for irrationality? Enjoy!

A public domain cross platform 3D game
An OpenGL 3D game, written from scratch (no dependencies). Provided as freeware mostly as a source of inspiration to help others. A little like a 3D version of the Amiga game Pang! The game is mostly intended for someone wanting to learn OpenGL. But since the game only uses OpenGL 1.0 the drawing code is outdated, but still things can be learned from the collision detection and other techniques. Some of the code is left in an unfinished/testing state. This game was a learning experiment for me, and the math used is tested until it works for the game. After using the science math by the book, there were still flaws that could make the player get stuck under certain conditions (since floating point is not exact), and the workarounds for this are just my own ideas. Have looked at the code for other 3D games and there are mostly the same problems around collision detection and "hacks" to get it to "work".
This is a personal project that I started after leaving my previous job, where I oversaw the development of an in-house 3D engine for online gaming. Epsilon refers to "almost nothing reused," and is designed around rapid throw-away prototyping.
Advanced technology that powers large scale, independent 3D games
GemEngine(or just "Gem", for short) is a game engine centered around ease of use, clean code, and modern technology. The engine is multi-purpose and is geared toward platform/adventure games. The engine itself is actively used by the same developer to create a full scale indie game. Everything about the engine, from its content editor down to its source code is designed to be easy to understand. Gem requires no knowledge of scripting to be able to fully use, and both the engine and source code are extensively documented. The Gem Engine's GUI is a powerful main interface that caters to both novice users and experienced power-users. Additionally, direct access to the engine's system is available with a powerful in-program console complete with built-in documention.
