This is the Utah Raster Toolkit distribution version 3.0 of June, 1990. ~~~ librle.a, image.rle file type support, animation, rletogif, converters, many utilities. RLE format supports a great number of raw inner formats for applications to use, known together as .rle (ie, "stored windowing") ~~~ The Utah Raster toolkit is a collection of programs and C routines for dealing with raster images commonly encountered in computer graphics. It provides the following major functions: * A device and system independent image format for storing images and information about them. Called the RLE format, it uses run length encoding to reduce storage space for most images. * A library of C routines for reading, writing and manipulating images stored in the RLE format. * A collections of programs for manipulating and displaying RLE images. Convert jpeg(exif/jfif)/mpo/jps image to/from xml
This is a set of command line tools that are useful for editing image metadata. Currently it contains the following tools: * image2xml * xml2image * mpo2jps Currently supported file formats are: * jpeg (jfif or exif) * mpo * jps. These tools are mostly useful for editing metadata. image2xml can also generate a .h header file with the offsets of different metadata in the binary file. This could be used in small devices that generate jpeg/mpo/jps images where metadata construction from scratch is not required.
NOTE: This project is on hold permanently... it was eating up too much of my life ;) It's still a good example of how to couple a WPF program with DirectX and OpenGL for 3D rendering. If others are interested in collaborating I'd come back to this or something similar. -- InsaneFX is a node-based special effects editor (written mostly in C#) and native runtime (written in C/C++). It ships with (unoptimized) example renderers for DirectX 9 and OpenGL. To get the most of InsaneFX you will integrate it with your own rendering engine. The Runtime has a simple OpenGL-like C API. pBrowser is an image browsing&viewing tool which tries to be especially hassle-free for prolonged and daily usage. Its main focus is to address the so-called smaller features. As it relies heaviely on external tools to decode media files, pBrowser can not compete in terms of speed with other popular tools of this application category.
