An award-winning drawing program for children ages 3 to 12
Tux Paint is a free, award-winning drawing program for children ages 3 to 12. It combines an easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who guides children as they use the program. Kids are presented with a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to help them be creative. Along with paintbrush, shapes and text, Tux Paint includes a "stamp" feature to add pre-drawn or photographic imagery to pictures, and a set of "magic tools" that provide filter effects (like blur, tint and waves) and interesting drawing tools (like train tracks, bubbles and grass). Tux Paint includes a collection of "starter" images, both coloring-book style and photo-realistic, and a large collections of stamps are available as a separate download. Additional content can be added by parents and teachers, or downloaded from 3rd parties. Tux Paint is available for Linux, BSD, Windows, Mac OS X and Haiku operating systems.

Astrophoto image & video processor. Full cycle with new technology
Astronomy program for selecting, viewing, aligning and stacking images. Creates 16-bit AVI gray/color video files from images series, concatenates videos together into one video file. The program helps to rebuild sequences of images and restore continuous order of files after they were edited, deleted, renamed or moved. PGMania converts images from one format to another. Supports batch converting operations, also for image sequences. Image formats can be any of well known image formats 8/16/32 bpp b/w/c. The program aligns and fits the pairs of images or image series, with each other or over master, calibrates them in pairs. Program detects stars and get stars statistics. Calculates fwhm, snr and star magnitudes. Image editor with alive histogram, contrast stretching, filters, evaluates and post process. XML and txt logging of all actions and results. *) PGMania uses original algorithm for image calibration. No need for dark & bias files for calibration and fit images.

An image Exif rotation tool.
ImageBox is a free image editing software specially designed for easy image rotation. The goal of this project is the correct rotated representation of JPG, PNG, BMP and GIF images on any hardware, such as TVs and Media Centers. Why are images shown differently rotated? An image may contain Exif metadata in addition to the image data. A digital camera often encodes the image data with the rotation of the lens. If the camera is rotated during recording, the image data is also encoded rotated. To correct the rotation again, the value of the rotation is stored in the metadata. If this value is ignored by the image viewer, the image will be displayed incorrectly. How does ImageBox normalize the rotation? When an image is loaded by the ImageBox, it is automatically rotated. The rotation is removed from the metadata and its value applied to the image data. After the image has been saved, it will also display correctly on systems that ignore the metadata.
