Image converter for producing ZX Spectrum screens
SCRplus converts images to formats suitable for use with the ZX Spectrum, using innovative and highly effective algorithms to produce as faithful a rendition of the original image as the limited Spectrum palette allows. Besides the normal 16-colour Spectrum screen, it can also produce 64-colour ULAplus images. The ULAplus is a plug-in replacement for the ZX Spectrum ULA, and is developed by Chris Smith (see http://www.zxdesign.info/ ). Since version 0.18 it has a user-friendly GUI based on GTK+.

Escher's Droste Effect
The Scope is to create a program, which can edit an image with the Droste effect. This program also provides some extra functions like rotating, scaling, converting and filtering. There exist some other programs which also have the some functions, but they are often very expensive and complex to use. Gimpel3D - 2D/3D Stereo Conversion Editor
The main download link is the installer for the compiled application. NOTE: The help files are accessible from within the application, from the main menu. The source code is bundled separately. Gimpel3D converts single images or frame sequences into stereoscopic 3D using a combination of traditional approaches and a proprietary projective modeling system. The user works in true proportional space where the scene can be viewed from any location. The scene is edited geometrically in space using tools specifically designed to work with the perspective projection of the image. This creates a virtual workspace that is intuitive for the user and proportionally accurate. NOTE: The entire codebase is currently in a single zip file (look under "Files"), and NOT in the sourceforge project repository..
Various small and useful command-line utilities
The littleutils include a duplicate file finder (repeats), image optimizers (opt-jpg, opt-png, opt-gif, recomp-jpg), file rename tools (lowercase, uppercase, pren), archive recompressors (to-gzip, to-bzip, to-7zip, to-lzma, to-lzip, to-xz), a tempfile utility (tempname), file property tools (filedate, filemode, filenode, fileown, filesize, and lrealpath), and others. See the README file for more details.
Resize, rename, add watermark to all your photos quickly and easily

Multi-core image resizer and rotator. Go crunch 'em!
imgp is a command line image resizer and rotator for JPEG and PNG images. If you have tons of images you want to resize adaptively to a screen resolution or rotate by an angle using a single command, imgp is the utility for you. It can save a lot on storage too. Powered by multiprocessing, an intelligent adaptive algorithm, recursive operations, shell completion scripts, EXIF preservation (and more), imgp is a very flexible utility with well-documented easy to use options. imgp intends to be a stronger replacement of the Nautilus Image Converter extension, not tied to any file manager and way faster. On desktop environments (like Xfce or LxQt) which do not integrate Nautilus, imgp will save your day.

JPEG encoder implementation using OpenCL
This is a research project to test GPU (OpenCL) usability for image compression. Jpeg format is chosen because it is relatively simple and I am familiar with it. 2013-01-22: For now only pixel conversion and DCT transform is done with OpenCL, entropy coding is done with CPU in one thread. Unfortunately this implementation is no match for even one threaded SSE2 jpeg encoder, too much data goes through PCIe. Look at "Debunking the 100X GPU vs. CPU Myth: An Evaluation of Throughput Computing on CPU and GPU" paper by Victor W Lee, Changkyu Kim, Jatin Chhugani, Michael Deisher, Daehyun Kim, Anthony D. Nguyen, Nadathur Satish, Mikhail Smelyanskiy, Srinivas Chennupaty, Per Hammarlund, Ronak Singhal and Pradeep Dubey.
A library to read raster image files written in pure Java
Albonubes is a library to read raster image files written in pure Java. It uses recent Java versions (currently Java 8) for a better API (returning Optional<T> rather than null). It also uses an agile development model which enables fast releases. This project is a child of Apache Commons-Imaging (previously Sanselan). It has abilities and bugfixes which Commons-Imaging doesn't have (yet) while it has the same permissive licence and a very similar API. Binaries are also available via Sonatype: http://oss.sonatype.org/#nexus-search;quick~albonubes Have a look on the README file how to include Albonubes with Maven in your project. The name "albonubes" means "white clouds" in latin. White clouds are part of many paintings. (Originally it came from the name of an ornamental fish, the meteor minnow T. albonubes).
