Highly accurate ray-tracing software system for UNIX computers
Radiance is a free, highly accurate ray-tracing software system for UNIX computers. It is a suite of programs designed for the analysis and visualization of lighting in design. Radiance is superior to simpler lighting calculation and rendering tools in that there are no limitations on the geometry or the materials that may be simulated. Scene geometry, materials, luminaires, time, date and sky conditions (for daylight calculations) are specified; spectral radiance (ie. luminance + color), irradiance (illuminance + color) and glare indices are calculated. Simulation results may be displayed as color images, numerical values and contour plots. Radiance is useful for architects and engineers in predicting illumination, visual quality and appearance of innovative design spaces; and for researchers in evaluating new lighting and daylighting technologies.
rayshade and POV for Mathematica Export + view
Beautifully Render* your Graphic3D and Shown or Manipulate right in the Front End (without Export to, ie 3DStudio Art Renderer, et al). For use with Mathematica 4.0 - 11.0. Makes file.ray or .pov that will look much like image in notebook except rendered. Works easily/automatically with many Graphics3D (and some Graphic) as well. However 11.0 is too big to comment on: many will work many not. Has many options to fix renders that aren't so auto. Now very portable (Apple, Microsoft, Linux) supported (given rayshade or povray binary download or compiled). No OS scripting needed. * raytracing makes more realistic images than GL/CL/Cuda (are best for game, geo/mapping, accelerated) but is slower. POVRay is supported about as well. The BS Game Engine (project name) is actually a DirectX 10 based game engine but prepared to include DirectX 11. This engine gives many extended libraries for a game and many main classes to extend multimedia applications.
GhostEngine is a game engine coded in C++, available for Windows, Linux, and MacOS. It is currently in heavy development, only fully available for Windows and partially for Linux, but work is being done to allow portability.

Over 75 C++ function for working with vectors, matrix and quaternions. Inside the package there is no cycles, if's, classes or structures. Ideal for designing 3D engines. Headlines of functions are intuitive. For each headline there is a one line comment in Russian. Matrix are presented in OpenGL form 0 4 8 12 1 5 9 13 2 6 10 14 3 7 11 15 Now we are working on adding 50+ more functions for processing the planes, splines, bezier curves and interpolation methods.
