Flex effect for creating something similar to the glitch & flicker of an old CRT when switching on/off or changing channel- maybe i just remember CRTs to be more broken / dangerous than they actually were, but probably not ;p When used as showEffect or hideEffect either on a popup or in a viewstack the components will glitch on/off screen either as a ropey old CRT or possibly hi-tech holographic display. This is just a rough starting point to create GPU accelerated pixel bender transition effects for flex components, although currently just using the sample twirl effect shipped with pixel bender this could be used to create effects like the stretch/warp effect applications do on mac when minimized/maximized. Note; most parameters are set randomly each time the effect starts so has little configurability besides duration, although very short durations (50-75ms) can produce far more subtle glitches, while longer durations (2000ms+) can look more abstract or maybe 'magical'.

The FidoCadJ format is a way to store technical drawings and electronic circuits in a very compact text, easy to embed in an Usenet, forum messages and web pages. FidoReadJS is a reader written in JavaScript able to convert on the fly these drawings and show them on your web site. Pear3DEngine is a modern and modular 3D development framework that lets you create professional games, simulations and more. You are free to develop your program in C + +, XML or LUA and publish it as open source software or selling it as a commercial program. The rendering engine uses internally OpenGL or DirectX optionally. The planned editor supports software development on Linux, Windows and maybe MacOS X. DirectX 9 and therefore Windows XP are currently not supported and support is not planned in the future. One goal of the Pear3DEngine Framework is to use the latest and most promising algorithms and techniques from the 3D and IT scene.

The Imprudence and Kokua open source metaverse viewers are developed by Team Purple. This project is for the common stuff that is shared between the two viewers.
