glvideotexture chung / freeGIFviewer is a small gif / video loops (about 11secs 9fps avi,wmv,gif) to 3D openGL textures (12 textures 1024 or 512 or 256 jpg per video , 8 images per texture) viewer converter with demo example animated ocean sea seashore 3D written in compiled freebasic . Uses classic OpenGL (i dont like modern openGL), can run on old pcs (no glsl required). as many simultaneous video animation loops as wanted. The generated textures (jpg) can be used in any apps and are 2x to 32x more compact than the original video .
