FontGL
Texture font for OpenGL applications
It consists of two modules. First module is a command line program which takes as input a truetype font (or other type) and extracts in an output png image the requested font glyphs. An xml used as input preferences and an xml or binary created as output with glyph properties. Second module is a OpenGL library to render such fonts. It is very abstract and very simple. Manuzio makes type design more fun. It is a font object model and manipulation library for (and in) Python. It will ease the type-design process, and allow experimentation in algorithmic glyph creation. This project also releases other font utilities.

LinuxFont
Create and investigate PSF2 fonts
This utility is created with the aim of accelerating development of Linux PSF2 (framebuffer) fonts. It does not work with X fonts. The program can "explode" existing PSF2 fonts, creating an human-readable graphical representation of each glyph which can then be re-compiled into a PSF2 font. The project supports the use of unicode tables at the end of fonts, but currently (Dec, 2012) not fully (sequences are not supported), but this should be simple to amend.
