A small server-side application is dedicated to provide TCP-packets response and basic logging functionality from operating low cost commercially available GPS Vehicle Trackers such as Concox GT06N and perhaps others (GT06E and GT06F). The application is using POSIX API and intended to run on Unix, Linux and even Windows systems (cygwin environment). Currently it has been developed and tested on FreeBSD 14.3. Recently added limited support for VL103 series devices from Jimi IoT Co., Ltd..

PuntoGPS is a simple tracking application to show your position to others, e.g. during urban bike rides :) It's made up of a GPS tracking app and a web based map. The app can be run on any GPS equipped device (smartphone, tablet, etc) by the users that want to show their position and/or track their paths. No user account is required, but users can set a short status message to identify (the default is the device name).

!!! Project servers were closed in the beginning of 2012 because the project was not actual anymore (massivity using Android and iOS devices instead of "simple" mobile phones). But source codes are always available as usual !!! A simple mobile j2me/web application that provides positioning of mobile devices connected to GSM/UMTS network or via GPS and lets you share location info by SMS or email.
