Viking is a free/open source program to manage GPS data. You can import, plot and create tracks, routes and waypoints, show OSM, Bing Aerial and other maps, geotag images, create routes using OSRM, see real-time GPS position (not in Windows), make maps using Mapnik (not in Windows), control items, etc. It is written in mostly in C (with some C++) & the GTK+3 toolkit. PuntoGPS is a simple tracking application to show your position to others, e.g. during urban bike rides :) It's made up of a GPS tracking app and a web based map. The app can be run on any GPS equipped device (smartphone, tablet, etc) by the users that want to show their position and/or track their paths. No user account is required, but users can set a short status message to identify (the default is the device name).

This program gets data from a GPS, parses it, and calculate things such as acceleration and distance traveled. That is then saved it to a CSV file. Also shows data in real time and has a speedometer to show your speed in real time (in KM/h or MPH).
