    dive

    dive

A tool for exploring each layer in a docker image

...Also, you can fully explore the file tree with the arrow keys. Files that have changed, been modified, added, or removed are indicated in the file tree. This can be adjusted to show changes for a specific layer, or aggregated changes up to this layer. The lower left pane shows basic layer info and an experimental metric that will guess how much wasted space your image contains. This might be from duplicating files across layers, moving files across layers, or not fully removing files. Both a percentage "score" and total wasted file space is provided. ...

    duf

    duf

Disk usage and free utility, a better 'df' alternative

...If you supply arguments, duf will only list specific devices & mount points. If you want to list everything (including pseudo, duplicate, inaccessible file systems), you can. You can show and hide specific tables. You can also show and hide specific filesystems. List inode information instead of block usage. If duf doesn't detect your terminal's colors correctly, you can set a theme. Users of oh-my-zsh should be aware that it already defines an alias called duf, which you will have to remove in order to use duf.

    fgprof

    fgprof

fgprof is a sampling Go profiler that allows you to analyze On-CPU

fgprof is a sampling Go profiler that allows you to analyze On-CPU as well as Off-CPU (e.g. I/O) time together. Go's builtin sampling CPU profiler can only show On-CPU time, but it's better than fgprof at that. Go also includes tracing profilers that can analyze I/O, but they can't be combined with the CPU profiler. fgprof is designed for analyzing applications with mixed I/O and CPU workloads. This kind of profiling is also known as wall-clock profiling. If this is the first time you hear about fgprof, you should start by reading about The Problem & How it Works. fgprof is compatible with the go tool pprof visualizer. ...

    kube-state-metrics

    kube-state-metrics

Add-on agent to generate and expose cluster-level metrics

...This ensures that features provided by kube-state-metrics have the same grade of stability as the Kubernetes API objects themselves. In turn, this means that kube-state-metrics in certain situations may not show the exact same values as kubectl, as kubectl applies certain heuristics to display comprehensible messages. kube-state-metrics exposes raw data unmodified from the Kubernetes API, this way users have all the data they require and perform heuristics as they see fit.

    dyff

    dyff

diff tool for YAML files, and sometimes JSON

A diff tool for YAML files, and sometimes JSON. dyff is inspired by the way the old BOSH v1 deployment output reported changes from one version to another by only showing the parts of a YAML file that changed. Similar to the standard diff tool, it follows the principle of describing the change by going from the input file to the target to the input file. Input files can be local files (filesystem path), remote files (URI), or the standard input stream (using -).

    Witr

    Witr

witr exists to answer "Why is this running?"

witr (short for “Why is this running?”) is a cross-platform command-line utility designed to explain the origin and cause of running processes, services, or anything bound to a port. Traditional tools show what is running, but witr goes a step further by correlating that state across process supervisors, containers, or system services to build a narrative of why the item exists. It supports major operating systems including Linux, macOS, Windows, and FreeBSD, and produces human-readable output that succinctly shows the causal ancestry of a process (e.g., systemd → pm2 → node). witr aims to reduce the time it takes to diagnose processes, especially during debugging or outage investigations, by providing context that would otherwise require manual analysis across multiple tools.

    lo

    lo

A Lodash-style Go library based on Go 1.18+ Generics

...I used to code with the fantastic "go-funk" package, but "go-funk" uses reflection and therefore is not typesafe. As expected, benchmarks demonstrate that generics are much faster than implementations based on the "reflect" package. Benchmarks also show similar performance gains compared to pure for loops. In the future, 5 to 10 helpers will overlap with those coming into the Go standard library (under package names slices and maps). I feel this library is legitimate and offers many more valuable abstractions.
