    compress

    compress

    Optimized Go Compression Packages

...Stream decompression is now faster on asynchronous since the goroutine allocation much more effectively splits the workload. On typical streams, this will typically use 2 cores fully for decompression. When a stream has finished decoding no goroutines will be left over, so decoders can now safely be pooled and still be garbage collected.

    ClickHouse Go

    ClickHouse Go

    Golang driver for ClickHouse

...There are two version of this client, v1 and v2, available as separate branches. v1 is now in a state of maintenance, we will only accept PRs for bug and security fixes. Uses ClickHouse native format for optimal performance. Utilizes low level ch-go client for encoding/decoding and compression (versions >= 2.3.0). Supports native ClickHouse TCP client-server protocol. Compatibility with database/sql (slower than native interface!). Database/sql supports http protocol for transport. (Experimental). Marshal rows into structs (ScanStruct, Select). Unmarshal struct to row (AppendStruct). Connection pool Failover and load balancing. ...

    GitHound

    GitHound

Search GitHub for leaked API keys, credentials, and exposed secrets

GitHound is a reconnaissance and security scanning tool designed to search GitHub for exposed secrets such as API keys, credentials, and other sensitive tokens. It works by combining GitHub search queries (often called “GitHub dorks”) with pattern matching techniques to locate potential secrets across public repositories. Instead of scanning only a limited set of repositories, the tool leverages GitHub’s Code Search API to analyze results from across the entire public GitHub ecosystem,...

    encoding

    encoding

Go package containing implementations of efficient encoding

Go package containing implementations of encoders and decoders for various data formats. At Segment, we do a lot of marshaling and unmarshaling of data when sending, queuing, or storing messages. The resources we need to provision on the infrastructure are directly related to the type and amount of data that we are processing. At the scale we operate at, the tools we choose to build programs can have a large impact on the efficiency of our systems. It is important to explore alternative...

    go-toml

    go-toml

Go library for the TOML file format

...Decoder can be set to "strict mode", which makes it error when some parts of the TOML document was not present in the target structure. This is a great way to check for typos. When most decoding errors occur, go-toml returns DecodeError), which contains a human readable contextualized version of the error. TOML supports native local date/times. It allows to represent a given date, time, or date-time without relation to a timezone or offset. To support this use-case, go-toml provides LocalDate, LocalTime, and LocalDateTime.

    fq

    fq

    jq for binary formats

Tool, language, and decoders for working with binary data. fq is inspired by the well-known jq tool and language and allows you to work with binary formats the same way you would using jq. In addition, it can also present data similar to a hex viewer, transform, slice, and concatenate binary data, supports nested formats, and has an interactive REPL with auto-completion. It was originally designed to query, inspect and debug codecs and metadata in media files and containers like mp4, FLAC,...

    Typhon

A wrapper around Go's net/http to provide safety and convenience

Typhon is a wrapper around Go's net/http library that we use at Monzo to build RPC servers and clients in our microservices platform. A wrapper around Go's net/http to provide safety and convenience. At Monzo, Typhon forms the basis of most clients and servers in our microservices platform. Forgetting to body.Close() in a client when the body has been dealt with is a common source of resource leaks in Go programs in our experience. Typhon ensures that – unless you're doing something really...

    GoJay

    GoJay

high performance JSON encoder/decoder with stream API for Golang

GoJay is a performant JSON encoder/decoder for Golang (currently the most performant, see benchmarks). It has a simple API and doesn't use reflection. It relies on small interfaces to decode/encode structures and slices. Gojay also comes with powerful stream decoding features and an even faster Unsafe API. There is also a code generation tool to make usage easier and faster. I looked at other fast decoders/encoders and realized it was mostly hardly readable static code generation or a lot of reflection had poor streaming features and were not so fast in the end. Also, I wanted to build a decoder that could consume an io.Reader of line or comma delimited JSON, in a JIT way. ...

    envconfig

    envconfig

Golang library to manage configuration data from environment variables

Package envconfig implements decoding of environment variables based on a user-defined specification. Typical use is using environment variables for configuration settings. Envconfig supports the use of struct tags to specify alternate, default, and required environment variables. Envconfig won't process a field with the "ignored" tag set to "true", even if a corresponding environment variable is set.

    go-libav

    go-libav

Go language bindings for ffmpeg libraries

go-libav is a Go language binding for the FFmpeg libav libraries, enabling developers to perform advanced multimedia processing directly in Go applications. It exposes low-level functionality such as encoding, decoding, muxing, and demuxing through Go-friendly abstractions. The project is designed for performance-critical systems where direct control over media pipelines is required. It allows developers to build streaming servers, media analyzers, or transcoding tools with fine-grained control. The library bridges the gap between Go’s simplicity and FFmpeg’s powerful multimedia capabilities. ...

    DJSON

    DJSON

Fast Go decoder for dynamic JSON

DJSON is a JSON decoder for Go that is 2~ to 3~ times faster than the standard encoding/json and the existing solutions when dealing with arbitrary JSON payload. It is a good approach for people who are using json.Unmarshal together with interface, don't know what the schema is, and still want good performance with minimal changes. DJSON is faster and allocates less memory than the other alternatives.
