    Go Tools

    Go Tools

Various packages and tools that support the Go programming language

...Packages include a type-checker for Go and an implementation of the Static Single Assignment form (SSA) representation for Go programs. This repository uses prettier to format JS and CSS files. The version of prettier used is 1.18.2. It is encouraged that all JS and CSS code be run through this before submitting a change. However, it is not a strict requirement enforced by CI. This repository uses Gerrit for code changes.

    Minify

    Minify

    Go minifiers for web formats

...The implemented minifiers are designed for high performance. The core functionality associates mime-types with minification functions, allowing embedded resources (like CSS or JS within HTML files) to be minified as well. Users can add new implementations that are triggered based on a mime-type (or pattern) or redirect to an external command (like ClosureCompiler, UglifyCSS,). Minifiers or bindings to minifiers exist in almost all programming languages. Some implementations are merely using several regular expressions to trim whitespace and comments.

    Dissent

    Dissent

    Tiny native Discord app

...The app focuses on text chat, speed, simplicity, and lower overhead instead of matching every feature of the official Discord client. It supports Markdown, custom emoji, guild folders, channel categories, tabs, quick switching, file handling, and custom CSS theming. Some advanced areas, such as threads, forums, reactions, and AI summaries, are only partially supported. Dissent does not aim to support voice chat and should be used with awareness that unofficial Discord clients can create account risk.

    goquery

    goquery

A little like that j-thing, only in Go

goquery brings a syntax and a set of features similar to jQuery to the Go language. It is based on Go's net/HTML package and the CSS Selector library Cascadia. Since the net/html parser returns nodes, and not a full-featured DOM tree, jQuery's stateful manipulation functions (like height(), css(), and detach()) have been left off. Also, because the net/HTML parser requires UTF-8 encoding, so does goquery: it is the caller's responsibility to ensure that the source document provides UTF-8 encoded HTML. ...

    statik

    statik

Embed files into a Go executable

statik allows you to embed a directory of static files into your Go binary to be later served from an http.FileSystem. Is this a crazy idea? No, not necessarily. If you're building a tool that has a Web component, you typically want to serve some images, CSS and JavaScript. You like the comfort of distributing a single binary, so you don't want to mess with deploying them elsewhere. If your static files are not large in size and will be browsed by a few people, statik is the solution you are looking for. statik is a tiny program that reads a directory and generates a source file that contains its contents. ...

    PC-Gui

    PC-Gui

Lightweight PC-Gui framework for AI, typewriter stream Gemini-like

...PC-GUI helps you meet strong market demands by building compact, powerful, commercial-grade applications with a simple and stable tech stack. We adopt a "backend-first approach" to desktop development: a stable Go backend (net/http) powers a standard web frontend (HTML/CSS/JS), coupled with encrypted SQLite storage for an extremely lightweight and high-performance design. Key Advantages: ✅ Zero runtime dependencies—a single Go binary, no WebView2/Python/Node.js installations required. ✅ Modern UI via HTML—fast templating, AI-friendly styling. ✅ Simple async streaming for AI output vs. complex callbacks elsewhere. ...

    go-wkhtmltopdf

    go-wkhtmltopdf

    Golang commandline wrapper for wkhtmltopdf

We needed a way to generate PDF documents from Go. These vary from invoices with highly customizable layouts to reports with tables, graphs and images. In our opinion, the best way to do this was by using HTML/CSS templates as a source for our PDFs. Using CSS print media types and millimeters instead of pixel units we can generate very accurate PDF documents using wkhtmltopdf. It takes care of setting the correct order of options as these can become very long with multiple pages where you have page and TOC options for each page. It makes usage in server-type applications easier, every instance (PDF process) has its own output buffer which contains the PDF output and you can feed one input document from an io.Reader (using stdin in wkhtmltopdf). ...

    the hotdog web browser

    the hotdog web browser

The hotdog web browser and browser engine

the hotdog web browser project is a hobbyist web browser and layout engine written entirely from scratch in Go to explore how browsers work under the hood, implementing core components like an HTML parser, CSS rendering, UI toolkit, networking, and layout logic without relying on heavy external dependencies. It’s far from being a complete or spec-compliant browser, but it’s designed to be a learning platform and experimental codebase for anyone curious about browser internals and rendering architecture. The repository includes custom named modules such as ketchup for HTML parsing, mayo for CSS rendering, and a minimal OpenGL/GLFW-based UI toolkit termed mustard, among others. ...

    Lorca

    Lorca

Build cross-platform modern desktop apps in Go + HTML5

Lorca is a compact Go library for building cross-platform desktop applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interfaces. Instead of bundling a browser engine, it connects to an installed Chrome or Chromium instance through its debugging protocol. Go functions can be exposed to JavaScript, while Go code can evaluate scripts and control the web interface. Communication works asynchronously through promises and goroutines, allowing long-running backend tasks without blocking the UI. ...
