    Task

    Task

A task runner / simpler Make alternative written in Go

Task is a task runner / build tool that aims to be simpler and easier to use than, for example, GNU Make. Since it's written in Go, Task is just a single binary and has no other dependencies, which means you don't need to mess with any complicated install setups just to use a build tool. Easy installation: just download a single binary, add to $PATH and you're done! Or you can also install using Homebrew, Snapcraft, or Scoop if you want. Available on CIs: by adding this simple command to install on your CI script and you're ready to use Task as part of your CI pipeline; Truly cross-platform: while most build tools only work well on Linux or macOS, Task also supports Windows thanks to this shell interpreter for Go. Great for code generation: you can easily prevent a task from running if a given set of files haven't changed since last run (based either on its timestamp or content).

    duf

    duf

Disk usage and free utility, a better 'df' alternative

User-friendly, colorful output, adjusts to your terminal's theme & width. Sort the results according to your needs, with groups & filters devices. duf can conveniently output JSON. Make sure you have a working Go environment (Go 1.12 or higher is required). Binaries for Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, macOS, Windows. You can simply start duf without any command-line arguments. If you supply arguments, duf will only list specific devices & mount points. If you want to list everything (including pseudo, duplicate, inaccessible file systems), you can. You can show and hide specific tables. You can also show and hide specific filesystems. List inode information instead of block usage. If duf doesn't detect your terminal's colors correctly, you can set a theme. Users of oh-my-zsh should be aware that it already defines an alias called duf, which you will have to remove in order to use duf.

    kcptun

    kcptun

A stable and secure tunnel based on KCP with N:M multiplexing and FEC

kcptun is a stable and secure tunnel based on KCP with N:M multiplexing and FEC. Available for ARM, MIPS, 386 and AMD64. kcptun is shipped with builtin packet encryption powered by various block encryption algorithms and works in Cipher Feedback Mode, for each packet to be sent, the encryption process will start from encrypting a nonce from the system entropy, so encryption to same plaintexts never leads to a same ciphertexts thereafter. kcptun made use of ReedSolomon-Codes to recover lost packets, which requires massive amount of computation, a low-end ARM device cannot satisfy kcptun well. To unleash the full potential of kcptun, a multi-core x86 homeserver CPU like AMD Opteron is recommended. If you insist on running under some ARM routers, you'd better turn off FEC and use salsa20 as the encryption method.

    cri-dockerd

    cri-dockerd

dockerd as a compliant Container Runtime Interface for Kubernetes

This adapter provides a shim for Docker Engine that lets you control Docker via the Kubernetes Container Runtime Interface. Mirantis and Docker have agreed to partner to maintain the shim code standalone outside Kubernetes, as a conformant CRI interface for the Docker Engine API. For Mirantis customers, that means that Docker Engine’s commercially supported version, Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR), will be CRI compliant. This means that you can continue to build Kubernetes based on the Docker Engine as before, just switching from the built-in docker shim to the external one. Mirantis and Docker intend to work together to make sure it continues to work as well as before and that it passes all the conformance tests and continues to work just like the built-in version did. Mirantis will be using this in Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, and Docker will continue to ship this shim in Docker Desktop.

    Octelium

    Octelium

A next-gen FOSS self-hosted unified zero trust secure access platform

Octelium is an open source, self-hosted unified secure-access platform built for modern infrastructure and hybrid environments. It positions itself as more than a typical VPN; it supports zero-trust network access (ZTNA), “BeyondCorp”-style access, API/AI gateway functionality, and even serves as a PaaS-like deployment surface. One of its key strengths is identity-based, application-layer (L7) aware control, meaning access decisions are made per request, with context and policy rather than simple network-level allow/block rules. It supports both client-based (e.g., WireGuard/QUIC tunnels) and client-less access models, which makes it flexible for both human users and automated workloads. The project also highlights self-hosted, no hidden “server-side” locked components, giving organizations greater ownership and control over access, rather than relying on proprietary SaaS.

    Witr

    Witr

witr exists to answer "Why is this running?"

witr (short for “Why is this running?”) is a cross-platform command-line utility designed to explain the origin and cause of running processes, services, or anything bound to a port. Traditional tools show what is running, but witr goes a step further by correlating that state across process supervisors, containers, or system services to build a narrative of why the item exists. It supports major operating systems including Linux, macOS, Windows, and FreeBSD, and produces human-readable output that succinctly shows the causal ancestry of a process (e.g., systemd → pm2 → node). witr aims to reduce the time it takes to diagnose processes, especially during debugging or outage investigations, by providing context that would otherwise require manual analysis across multiple tools.

kube-bench is a tool that checks whether Kubernetes is deployed securely by running the checks documented in the CIS Kubernetes Benchmark. Trivy, the all-in-one cloud-native security scanner, can be deployed as a Kubernetes Operator inside a cluster. Both, the Trivy CLI, and the Trivy Operator support CIS Kubernetes Benchmark scanning among several other features. There are multiple ways to run kube-bench. You can run kube-bench inside a pod, but it will need access to the host's PID namespace in order to check the running processes, as well as access to some directories on the host where config files and other files are stored.

    Glow

    Glow

Render markdown on the CLI, with pizzazz!

Glow is a terminal-based markdown reader designed from the ground up to bring out the beauty and power of the CLI. Use it to discover markdown files, read documentation directly on the command line and stash markdown files to your own private collection so you can read them anywhere. Glow will find local markdown files in subdirectories or a local Git repository. By the way, all data stashed is encrypted end-to-end: only you can decrypt it. Simply run glow without arguments to start the textual user interface and browse local and stashed markdowns. Glow will find local markdown files in the current directory and below or if you’re in a Git repository, Glow will search the repo. Markdown files can be read with Glow's high-performance pager. Most of the keystrokes you know from less are the same, but you can press ? to list the hotkeys. Glow works with the Charm Cloud to allow you to store any markdown files in your own private collection.

    GoReleaser

    GoReleaser

Deliver Go binaries as fast and easily as possible

GoReleaser builds Go binaries for several platforms, creates a GitHub release and then pushes a Homebrew formula to a tap repository. All that wrapped in your favorite CI. Cross-compile your Go project. Release to GitHub, GitLab and Gitea. Create nightly builds. Create Docker images and manifests. Create Linux packages and Homebrew taps. Sign artifacts, checksums and container images. Announce new releases on Twitter, Slack, Discord and others. Generate SBOMs (Software Bill of Materials) for binaries and container images. GoReleaser was created to solve a problem we all had at some point: releasing software is boring and error prone. Generally speaking, those scripts tend to not be reusable and have dependencies on many other tools - which makes it hard to run the process on other machines. GoReleaser aims to make all these scripts obsolete: instead of writing scripts, you write a simple YAML configuration file; instead of many tools, you (usually) only need a single goreleaser binary.

    SNMP Exporter for Prometheus

This exporter is the recommended way to expose SNMP data in a format that Prometheus can ingest. To simply get started, it's recommended to use the if_mib module with switches, access points, or routers using the public_v2 auth module, which should be a read-only access community on the target device. Note, that community strings in SNMP are not considered secrets, as they are sent unencrypted in SNMP v1 and v2c. For secure access, SNMP v3 is required.

    SOPS

    SOPS

Simple and flexible tool for managing secrets

sops is an editor of encrypted files that supports YAML, JSON, ENV, INI and BINARY formats and encrypts with AWS KMS, GCP KMS, Azure Key Vault, age, and PGP. For the adventurous, unstable features are available in the develop branch, which you can install from source. To use sops as a library, take a look at the decrypt package. We rewrote Sops in Go to solve a number of deployment issues, but the Python branch still exists under python-sops. We will keep maintaining it for a while, and you can still pip install sops, but we strongly recommend you use the Go version instead. If you're using AWS KMS, create one or multiple master keys in the IAM console and export them, comma separated, in the SOPS_KMS_ARN env variable. It is recommended to use at least two master keys in different regions. If you want to use PGP, export the fingerprints of the public keys, comma separated, in the SOPS_PGP_FP env variable.
