    mtail

    mtail

Extract internal monitoring data from application logs

Extract internal monitoring data from application logs for collection in a time-series database. mtail is a tool for extracting metrics from application logs to be exported into a timeseries database or timeseries calculator for alerting and dashboarding. It fills a monitoring niche by being the glue between applications that do not export their own internal state (other than via logs) and existing monitoring systems, such that system operators do not need to patch those applications to instrument them or writing custom extraction code for every such application. The extraction is controlled by mtail programs which define patterns and actions. Metrics are exported for scraping by a collector as JSON or Prometheus format over HTTP, or can be periodically sent to a collectd, StatsD, or Graphite collector socket. Precompiled binaries for released versions are available in the Releases page on Github. Using the latest production release binary is the recommended way of installing mtail.

    ASNmap

    ASNmap

CLI tool for mapping organization network ranges using ASN data

asnmap is a command line tool and Go library designed to quickly map network ranges belonging to organizations using Autonomous System Number (ASN) data. It allows users to convert different types of inputs (such as ASN numbers, IP addresses, domain names, or organization names) into their associated CIDR ranges. This capability makes it particularly useful for security researchers, penetration testers, and reconnaissance workflows that require identifying network infrastructure owned by a target organization. asnmap retrieves ASN-related data and returns structured results that can be easily integrated into automated pipelines. Output can be generated in multiple formats including plain text, JSON, and CSV, enabling flexible data processing and analysis. asnmap also supports reading input from standard input and piping its results directly into other command line tools for chained workflows.

Anyquery is an open-source SQL query engine designed to allow users to query data from almost any source using a unified SQL interface. The system enables developers and analysts to run SQL queries on files, APIs, applications, and databases without needing separate connectors or query languages for each platform. Built on top of SQLite, the engine uses a plugin architecture that allows it to extend support to dozens of external services and data sources. Users can query structured files such as CSV, JSON, and Parquet as well as remote data sources like SaaS APIs, cloud storage services, and local applications. The platform also supports querying multiple data sources simultaneously and joining them together within a single SQL query, enabling powerful cross-system analysis. In addition to operating as a local query engine, the system can run as a MySQL-compatible server so that traditional database tools can connect to it.

    Berglas

    Berglas

A tool for managing secrets on Google Cloud

Berglas is a command-line tool and Go library for managing secrets on Google Cloud in a way that reduces the manual work typically involved in secret handling. It is built to store and retrieve secrets securely by encrypting them with Cloud KMS and storing them in Cloud Storage, while also providing an interoperable layer for Secret Manager. The project serves two related purposes: as a CLI, it automates secret encryption, decryption, and storage workflows, and as a library, it helps inject secrets into supported Google Cloud runtimes. This makes it useful for teams that want a more programmable and cloud-native approach to secret distribution without hardcoding sensitive values into applications or deployment pipelines. Because it is written in Go and distributed in multiple ways, including binaries, Docker, Homebrew, and source installation, it fits a variety of developer environments and operational setups.

    Boulder

    Boulder

An ACME-based certificate authority, written in Go

This is an implementation of an ACME-based CA. The ACME protocol allows the CA to automatically verify that an applicant for a certificate actually controls an identifier, and allows domain holders to issue and revoke certificates for their domains. Boulder is the software that runs Let's Encrypt. This component model lets us separate the function of the CA by security context. The Web Front End, Validation Authority, OCSP Responder and Publisher need access to the Internet, which puts them at greater risk of compromise. The Registration Authority can live without Internet connectivity, but still needs to talk to the Web Front End and Validation Authority. The Certificate Authority need only receive instructions from the Registration Authority. All components talk to the SA for storage. Internally, the logic of the system is based around five types of objects: accounts, authorizations, challenges, orders (for ACME v2) and certificates.
