    git absorb

    git absorb

    git commit --fixup, but automatic

...The command essentially looks at the lines that were modified, finds a changeset modifying those lines, and amends that changeset to include your uncommitted changes. If the changes can't be made without conflicts, they remain uncommitted. This workflow is insanely useful for things like applying review feedback. You just make file changes, run hg absorb and the mapping of changes to commits sorts itself out. It is magical.

    Commitizen for contributors

    Commitizen for contributors

    The commitizen command line utility

...No more waiting until later for a git commit hook to run and reject your commit (though that can still be helpful). No more digging through CONTRIBUTING.md to find what the preferred format is. Get instant feedback on your commit message formatting and be prompted for required fields. Commitizen is currently tested against Node.js 12, 14, & 16, although it may work in older versions of Node.js. You should also have npm 6 or greater. When you're working in a Commitizen-friendly repository, you'll be prompted to fill in any required fields, and your commit messages will be formatted according to the standards defined by project maintainers. ...

    Albedo

    Albedo

A recommender system for discovering GitHub repos

...It treats repositories and developers as a graph of interactions and applies large-scale matrix factorization to model affinities, with Apache Spark providing the distributed data processing. The project focuses on implicit feedback—stars, watches, and other engagement metrics—so it can build useful recommendations without explicit ratings. A reproducible setup and Makefile-driven workflow streamline tasks like spinning up services, loading datasets, training models, and generating candidate lists. Because it’s built around Spark’s scalable primitives, Albedo can experiment on substantial snapshots of GitHub metadata rather than toy corpora. ...

    git-cal

    git-cal

github like contributions calendar on terminal

...Because it reads local Git metadata, it respects your privacy and can include private work you don’t push to public remotes. For developers who like quick visual feedback in the CLI, git-cal turns raw commit timestamps into an at-a-glance activity portrait.
