    Git Katas

    Git Katas

A set of exercises for deliberate Git Practice

...The exercises are designed for use when we are teaching Git courses. You should be able to use them as self-contained exercises that will allow you to keep your Git skills sharp. Exercises starting with basic are entry-level - other exercises vary greatly in difficulty. If you are coming to this repository for some basic Git knowledge, we recommend going through the exercises in the following order. This is the order that Jan Krag at Praqma teaches Git and might change over time. There are more exercises than this, but these should take you through everything you need to be able to use Git effectively in your day to day life.

    Git Extensions

    Git Extensions

UI tool for managing git repositories

...Renamed and moved files are matched and shown in a single history. You do not need to mark files as renamed/moved. The system detects renamed files automatically. Find the last person that edited a specific part of a file. Double click on the line shows the commit and allows you to drill-down to other files. Version 2.x of Git Extensions runs on multiple platforms using Mono. The active community of Git Extensions is supporting Git Extensions since 2008.

    ghooks

    ghooks

    Simple git hooks

...Please also note, that it is absolutely not advised to install ghooks globally. To work as expected, make it a development dependency of your project(s). Add a config.ghooks entry in your package.json and simply specify which git hooks you want and their corresponding commands. The hooks' working directory is relative to the git root (where you have your .git directory). This means that if your package.json is in a subdirectory of your git repository, you'll need to cd into the directory before running any npm scripts.
