GeographicLib is a small C++ library for: geodesic and rhumb line calculations; conversions between geographic, UTM, UPS, MGRS, geocentric, and local cartesian coordinates; gravity (e.g., EGM2008) and geomagnetic field (e.g., WMM2020) calculations.

Mapbox GL JS is a JavaScript library that uses WebGL to render interactive maps from vector tiles and Mapbox styles. It is part of the Mapbox GL ecosystem, which includes Mapbox Mobile, a compatible renderer written in C++ with bindings for desktop and mobile platforms. Mapbox GL JS is part of the cross-platform Mapbox GL ecosystem, which also includes compatible native SDKs for applications on Android, iOS, macOS, Qt, and React Native. Mapbox provides building blocks to add location features like maps, search, and navigation into any experience you create. To get started with GL JS or any of our other building blocks, sign up for a Mapbox account. In addition to GL JS, this repository contains code, issues, and test fixtures that are common to both GL JS and the native SDKs. Mapbox GL JS v2 enables 3D mapping with elevated terrain, customizable skies and atmospheric lighting, a new camera, and performance enhancements.

A web based Geographic Metadata Catalog for data description and discovery. It implements international standards (e.g. ISO19115/19139, ISO19115-3, Z39.50, CSW 2.0, OGC). It originates from the United Nations and is used by many governments as geoportal software. This page is not maintained actively. Active development and discussion takes place on github. OpenGTS (Open Source GPS Tracking System) is a full featured web-based GPS tracking system for your fleet of vehicles. It supports OpenLayers and other map providers, detail/summary Reporting, and various GPS tracking devices.

AppForMap is a collection of PHP modules for web mapping. The project comprises both clients and server for dealing with simple features, GML, WKT, WMS, WFS, PostGIS databases etc. It can also act as a backend for an OpenLayers frontend.

ArgooMap is an online, map-based discussion forum, which allows participants to reference their contributions to geographic locations. This project helps to digitize field data for a certain Bird Census method. Namely, bird census based on personal inspection or small (~10 km^2) regions with recording birds' position and behaviour on paper. This project makes it easy to annotate such field data and to make this data available for statistical analysis.

BizGEO is an open source platform developed to provide a simple interface for geographical data collection and data storage. Check out the showcase : http://gwt-mapfish.sourceforge.net/showcase/GwtMapFishShowcase.html I see there are still some downloads, so I feel I have to advise against using this project. It barely has any functionality, and anyway you'd be better off with home-made GWT widgets and Java logic. GWT-OpenLayers is OK, but don't go further in JS-library wrapping, or it gets messy.

GeoAr intends to be a rich client for WMS and WFS services. It's developed on LZX (OpenLaszlo), so it would serve dhtml(near future) and flash to the user's browser giving the chance of select between them, but having only one server's cource code.

GeoCity is a map maker with the possibility to use dynamic HTML Forms to collect geographic data and share this information with other users. It uses the Google Maps API for creation and management of geographic elements and related data.
