Allows user to input a .csv of UTM coordinates within the Penobscot River basin and calculates in-river distance (in kilometers) from the river's mouth to the locations of interest. A new algorithm for extracting roof tops was developed. Using the assumption that roof tops are planar in construction, a new approach was developed using volume of point clouds to determine whether a cluster contains planar points. This approach yields very promising results and with attention applied to its weaknesses, should provide another algorithm which can rival currently available roof top detection methods.

The project has moved to GitHub (see https://github.com/vasyutin/qnetmap). The project is based on the QMapControl library (http://qmapcontrol.sourceforge.net/) by Kai Winter. To show the map QNetMap can use different providers like OpenStreetMap or other WMS servers. The map data can be downloaded from the Internet or from the disk cache. User's own raster maps can also be used. QNetMap supports layers so you can mix maps from different servers. To enrich the map presentation you can draw your own objects in the given coordinates.
