Ever played a competitive game with a friend in which one of you hosted the server on their own machine? Ever thought that it's unfair that one person's ping is zero and the other one's is 80? This is an open-source program that can emulate constant ping, ping spikes and packet losses. Download, extract wherever you want, launch the executable and read the instructions that are conveniently placed in the main window of the program. This program allows gamers to fake their ping and packet loss. Only games which allow direct IP connections are supported - this program will not emulate the game server and will not advertise itself on any master server of any game. icsdrone is an interface between a chess server and a chess engine
icsdrone acts as an interface between an ICS (Internet Chess Server) and a chess engine supporting the XBoard/WinBoard protocol. Unlike XBoard/WinBoard it does not use a graphical interface so it is suitable for use on embedded systems. icsdrone was originally developed for FICS (the Free Internet Chess Server) by Henrik Gram but currently ICC (the Internet Chess Club) works as well. Some features - "Daemon mode" (run in background). - Auto reconnection in case of network problems. - Builtin support for using timeseal. - An ICS proxy. When instructed via the "proxy" option, icsdrone acts as a proxy for the ICS it is connected to. This is similar to using xboard with zippy but now the "GUI" (xboard/winboard) can be closed without terminating the engine.

It was written for the sake of joke. Suppose somebody asks you to archive and send one file. You can fast compress it many times(e.g. 2000). I am fond of a joke in such way at my Windows friends. Of course it could be written in Bash much easy, but in C it's much faster
