Adventure: Revisited
Reenactment of the classic Atari 2600 game
...A port? This may be the first instance of some sort of bizarre hybrid. As mentioned above, I used a dissassembled and annotated version of the original game's source code as a reference in creating this software. Certain pieces of the code could be considered "emulation" - for example, the player/missile collision detection is, in a way, emulating that particular part of the original hardware. I also kept all the game data in the same format as the original source where practical to ensure the most accuracy possible. -

An open-source, SDL based, game engine to replicate old style Rockman (aka Megaman) games, being as close as possible of Rockman 1-6, and an editor made with Qt, for custom graphics, weapons, bosses, enemies and level creation. This project is based on pygame which has the power to simplify graphical output in some cases. Additionally it includes methods for user input, some collision detection, sound and file access supporting ominous structures. However this project is very limited and has more or less just been an educating experience for myself. Thanks
